I can not believe there was not a thread on her! At least I searched and I could not find one

She is also known as "Little Edie" and she is Jackie O's first cousin. She was very rich but lived in a decomposing mansion in the Hamptons with her mother, "Big Edie"...it was a very disgusting house with fleas and raccoons and all sorts of things. Here is an example:

Her style inspired a lot of people and maybe you may see it but you do not recognize it. She was very pretty when she was younger, I guess you could say she lost her touch appearance wise or what ever, but she was very eccentric and interesting. This is probably where people recognize her the most, the Grey Gardens cover:

Here she is with her mother (long hair) and the film makers of Grey Gardens:

And here are a couple of Grey Gardens photos:

I do not know...a lot of people think she is nasty, weird, crazy, etc but I like her a lot :flower:

Thank you :flower: I wish I could find the one of her in Beales of Grey Gardens...the one that Macy's put in the elevator  but I can not find it online :(

Thank you so much for this! She is truly an icon...I love her style, personality and attitude

she's a doll, i love grey gardens, she's like a little girl :D

Thanks for taking the time to make this thread ^^

I saw the the documentary and I just love her. It was entertaining but sad. I think she's more interesting than her cousins Jackie and Lee and her "look" has inspired many...

I am a huge fan of EBB and her style. That one look in the olive military shirtdress (actually, it may have been a shirt tucked into some kind of make-shift skirt--but it was a close enough match do almost look like a dress) with the pale blue face cloth. Genius. So interesting and powerful. Her sense of proportion and color is just out of this world. Despite her age she looked KILLER in a mini skirt, and the aesthetic of being completely covered at the head, bust and neck and then showing more skin with the legs is brilliant. Few people have ever had such a strong sense of self.

I was really apalled by Grey Gardens though it was quite fun to watch. Make me feel that much less crazy. ;)
I really wish I could find more pix of Edie during her modeling and MGM days. There seem to be none around...

I love the b&w photos from corbis! I was just watching Grey Gardens today.

P.S. Wasnt Drew Barrymore going to play her in a movie? Anyone know what came of that?

They've already begun filming with Drew Barrymoore, I think.
Were they really that rich? Jackie O had to pay their mortgage at one point so their house didn't get reposessed (or something like that, it's in a Jackie O biography I have from the 70's or 80's)
