Elise Crombez | Page 329 | the Fashion Spot

Elise Crombez

I watch a bit of FTV ( less now then before ) and was watching First Face and most of the models were very new ( and a couple downright ugly ) and was thinking that these models couldnt hold a candle to the likes of Elise and a few other "older" models.

I guess in the fashion industry anything over 21 is considered older and thats sad. I have a theory why they use younger models and thats because the more mature ones are not as easy to push around

hahaha, your soooo right! I mean i think the industry is changing now a bit thought, I have to say a lot of older girls are coming back. I hear that Tasha Tilberg might start working the catwalk again. and it would be glorious to see Amanda back, and all of the girls. It was just much more classier and more elegant, i think androgyny is going to come back. I mean who remembers when Eleanor Bose was on the cat walk...i want to see more Elise's and Louise's and Carmen's. Enough of the little girl alien-looking wide spaced eyes girls. BRING SEXY BACK, with that EDGE!

honestly, albeit being a huge elise (and carmen) fan, i have nothing against the new crop of "little girl alien-looking wide spaced eyes girls." they are nice too and are another pole of our aesthetic tastes. what i want is simply that those older models come back and that people who make decisions as to who appears on the runway and who doesn't don't just create simple trends - isn't it sad that with those silly trends our taste and judgment is forever limited to one or one type of look at any given moment? cannot we enjoy all different types of beauties at the same time? are human faculties of judgment really that limited and petty?

help...can anyone who has Elle French (with Elise on the cover, forget the edition number)
is just I want to read the interview...
I remember the interview page is on the right side and the left side is Elise standing, wearing a white t-shirt...
anybody can help me?
TQ

That's exactly what I was thinking.

elise can save the planet just by herself, no need to join someone else's campaign :)

Here is the accompanying brief for the photo haru posted:

Pre-Fashion Week festivities kicked off Wednesday afternoon with a lunch in honor of Pollini's new ready-to-wear designer, Jonathan Saunders.
A mix of editors, actresses and social ladies like Eva Amurri, model Elise Crombez and Zani Gugelmann gathered on La Grenouille's second floor for a meal of mushroom risotto and steamed cod.
