Dont cry jiaqi B)...I dont think she is retired... look, in one year, or less, she will come back . All of her always comeback. Isabeli, Bianca, Marija, Raquel, Jessica Miller, etc. came back.

i don't think she is retiring from modelling, just from runway, and since she has so many other engagements and other sorts of engagements, i doubt she is interested in a comeback, at least to catwalking

My guess is it means she was available to do the shows, but she wasn't hired by any casting director for this show season, which is why we didn't see her.

Come on guys, think of her as Kate Moss, Natalia V or her pal Daria who were on the top of the A - list and has reached the high level of successful-high-fashion-model.

She made appearance almost 20 times on international VOGUE' s covers from around the world (2 times for UK VOGUE and that's more than enough because even Liya K, Natasha P or Raquel Zimmerman who are so very hot at time still have never even get a chance to be on. Elise 's name is right next to Drew Barrymore and Elizabeth Hurley in the search section. Isn't that seems honour enough to you ???? )

Truth, that some of the A list in the past such as Carmen, Angela, Isabeli or some of the girls from Elise same generation like Raquel and Mariacarla Boscono are still doing the catwalk. But does it really mean that they are more success than Elise ?

Elise was the first girl who appear on the Legend Tom Ford is Missing Video and she really was such a breath taking that she could put Daria, Hana or Karen Elson out of the frame !!!!

And I thinks it would be best that she should retire herself from runway and start being legend like Daria, Karolina, Liya or Natalia. I really do thinks she has what it take.B)

I love Elise too, but the girls you mention above still have massive contracts (Estée Lauder for Liya, Guerlain for Natalia, VS for KK, Lancôme for Daria), they're invited to the big parties and are the subject of gossip. Elise... not so much.
I don't think it's necesseraly a bad thing, because she seems to be much more simple in her way of life than other supermodels and isn't career-oriented as she has stated in interviews. It's just sad for us that whe don't see her as much as before and that she isn't doing high fashion anymore. Maybe she is looking for a different career path now?
