Woman: Emma Watson
If you still think of her as Hermione Granger then you clearly haven't been paying attention. After a well received cameo opposite Eddie Redmayne in My Week with Marilyn, Watson offered strong support in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower before accepting the role that will change it all: Nicki in The Bling Ring. Bringing a surprising depth to the most shallow of LA scenesters, Watson gave Sofia Coppola's slick visuals some emotional depth. After a brief stop off to gamely cameo in Seth Rogen's This Is The End (living off McDonalds and rats after the apocalypse), next year see her next hanging out on an ark with Russell Crowe in Darren Aronofsky's Noah. She has a grace and a level-headedness rare amongst former child stars, and is quickly becoming one of Britain's most exciting leading ladies.
