Emma Watson

I actually love the shoot however her PR team is getting ridiculous. Woman of the year? Really?

Haha I know, I looked at the last few year's winners and they were Lara Stone (justified imo) and Lana Del Rey (what?) so I don't really know what the criteria was... I loved Perks but her performance wasn't ground breaking. The only thing the magazine seems to suggest is that she's made good film choices in terms of directors

ANYWAY. Can we get an ID on the dress in the second and fourth pictures? I wish she had worn the dress from the fifth picture for the awards show.

Yay Tom Hiddleston! Love that man! Always love seeing him with other favorite celebrities of mine. He said some very sweet and kind words about Emma too.
Agreed. And ins't the first time he talk about Emma! He's so handsome and charm! Would love to see a movie with Emma and him. What about Beauty and Beast? :)

I think the other GQ photos look bad because of poor retouching. They removed a lot of the bony landmarks in her body that would have given it shape and dimension. Instead, she looks puffy and amorphous.

She has a name in the industry and used it to get Perks into production. So I think it's more for her credibility to make a career outside of Harry Potter, than her acting skills.
That GQ shoot. I really like the idea of it, but there's something off about it, just like the cover.!

I think the award is due to her roles in "The Bling Ring" and "This is the End." Perks was last year.

She also filmed Noah and signed on to act in/produce a trilogy that's based on a set of books which haven't even been written yet. She's also got "Beauty" coming up and was rumored to attached/actually attached/dropped out of several films this year including "50 Shades of Grey" and "Your Voice In My Head." I can't think of another British actress who was in the press so much this year. I think it's justified. She's doing an amazing job of establishing herself outside of Potter.

I have to respectfully disagree with her getting that award, as much as I love Emma. There's no way this deserved. Woman of the Year? How? Her role in The Bling Ring, by all accounts, was not very big; and she was just a cameo in This is the End. Otherwise...? Don't get it. I can understand Lana Del Rey because she was everywhere last year, what with Born to Die, Video Games, Blue Jeans, etc. But Emma hasn't gotten anywhere near the kind of exposure. And if they are giving it to her because she's been "attached" to a lot of films, without actually securing a lot of roles, then that's still not quite justified in my personal opinion. Since when do awards for "potential" count outside of elementary school? Besides that, on her imdb page, the only thing she's for certain done is Noah, which is a while from coming out yet and hasn't even gotten a trailer. Come on. I think of at least five more actresses deserving of Woman of the Year--Jessica Chastain, Rose Bryne, Zoe Saldana, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence. Emma is the last person I would give this award to, and I like her more than half the aforementioned actresses. But that's just my opinion.

The styling for the GQ shoot is on point, but yeah, I agree, there's something a bit off about it. Love the hair though, and she looks beautiful.

Thank you! Go Emma!!

^^^Was she actually considering doing "50 shades of grey"? I thought she was kidding.

I don't know if I would say she is a lot in the press, but when she is, it is for the correct reasons;)

I like her. She's usually very chic, but that last outfit she wore at the GQ Men of the Year awards was unfortunate.
Nice GQ photo-shoot though:flower:

I'm as sure as can be, that she NEVER considered the role in 50 shades, but by mentioning actresses like her it makes the role seem more extraordinary if so to speak :P

No, it was just rumored like 3 different times. I'm sure there was never any truth behind it. My point was the media didn't seem to care. It kept popping up all over the press, which is why she eventually tweeted about it.

Thanks immortalbliss!! :flower:

Emma is back in for the Your Voice In My Head movie adaptation

Toronto: Emma Watson Teaming With Francesca Gregorini for 'Your Voice In My Head' (Exclusive)

Alison Owen and Michael Benaroya will produce the adaptation of the Emma Forrest memoir.

Emma Watson has signed to star in Your Voice in My Head, the adaptation of the Emma Forrest memoir that Francesca Gregorini will direct.

Academy Award nominee Alison Owen, a producer on the upcoming Saving Mr. Banks, and Benaroya Pictures’ Michael Benaroya, whose credits include Lawless and Margin Call, will produce the drama, which will start shooting Nov. 4 in New York.

Watson was loosely attached to the project a few years ago when it was set up at Warner Bros. with Harry Potter director David Yates. Yates left in 2012 and Watson followed soon after, with Emily Blunt next being associated with the project.

The project moved out of Warners and is now on the independent track. And Watson is back with Gregorini, the daughter of famed Bond girl Barbara Bach, who co-helmed the Rooney Mara coming-of-age drama Tanner Hall.

International Film Trust (IFT), the recently-launched division of Benaroya Pictures, is selling the project internationally in Toronto. CAA is repping domestic rights.

Head tells the story of a young woman living the fast life in New York who attempts suicide before being saved by a selfless psychiatrist who is hiding the fact he is dying of cancer.

Forrest, a novelist and journalist repped by CAA and Casarotto and Associates, wrote the script.

Watson, repped by WME and UK’s Markham Froggatt & Irwin, recently appeared in Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring and cameoed in Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s This is The End.

Gregorini, repped by CAA and the Schiff Co., also directed and co-wrote The Truth About Emanuel, which starred Jessica Biel. Tanner Hall premiered at the 2009 edition of the Toronto International Film Festival.

Awesome! I wonder if Stanley Tucci will still do it? Hopefully the movie will actually be made this time.

I would be ALL over this. Tom and Emma starring in a movie together...I'd die of happiness.
