Emma Watson

I had no idea the story originated in the Sun  -- all of the media outlets seem to be running wild with it today, so much for responsible journalism.

There is still a slight chance it could be true, but it has been widely reported that the competition for the role is between two relatively unknowns.

Lol.. I don't believe Emma is up for the role but who knows in the land of Hollywood..

New photo of Emma at the HP wrap party.. From silvia89 at Pottershots.. Near full frontal shot.. At least she's looking better in these candid shots than she did in the NYC candid shots..

She looks like a young Mia Farrow imo.. hmmm.. not sure i like it personally, bit too short for my taste but she still looks beautiful none the less

i agree on all accounts...very Mia Farrow, very short and still very beautiful girl!

If you look at only her head in that candis shot she looks like a 12 year old boy.At least in my opinion. The haircut is brave and all,but I want her old hair back!!!! ;(

i really like what she's wearing ..... :) anyone can ID the items?
i still dont like her hair but it looks different in a possibly better way from the other candits!

I love that last picture of her. I love her haircut. She'd be gorgeous even if she were completely bald, but I think it will look 10 times better after it grows out a bit (if she lets it). It's nice to see her get to change her look after having her hair long for here WHOLE life.

Here's a new article about Emma's trip to Bangladesh:
In search of fashion, Emma arrived at the small village of Khanapara. There, She went to visit the workers of Khanapara Soyaloj Development Society. She sat with them and learned how to sew properly and tried her hand at sewing.

Emma's trip to Bangladesh has been very hush hush. She has been preparing to visit the country for over a year. The manager of Soyaloj society said, "I've been communicating with Emma for over a year through e-mail but her schedule is so busy that she couldn't find time. She was planned to visit twice before but had to cancel last minute. But finally she made it on July 6th."

On July 6th, Emma flew to Dhaka and upon arriving, took a train straight to Rajshahi. She enjoyed the whole train ride very much. She showed childlike enthusiasm for the miles of green fields on either side and was surprised to find children playing football in the mud without any clothes.

She arrived at Rajshahi around nightfall and a car ride from there took her to the village of Khanapara. The next day, she went around town and looked around the whole Soyaloj society.

First she learned to color the threads, then sewing, cutting clothes, and operating the sewing machine. She sat with deep concentration as she cut the clothes properly and then sewed them up using the sewing machine. She went to visit the daycare center and the elementary schools of the kids of the female workers at soyaloj. She gave the kids books and bought them breakfast.

In the afternoon, she took a boat ride to the Padma river. As soon as their boat left, a water dolphin popped up. The bubbly Emma started clapping and dancing like a little girl and said, "I am so lucky! I just got in the water and came across a river dolphin."

She was humming a song during the entire boat ride. At first, it was difficult to understand what she was humming but it was clear in the evening when she sang that song for everybody at the Soyaloj singathon. Though at one time, the workers at Soyloj were in a bit of a loss when Emma expressed her interest in getting a ride around town on a Rickshaw. She sent her security away after refusing to listen to their many objections, hopped on a Rickshaw and went around town waving her feet up and down.

On 8th July, she took pictures wearing the clothes made at Soyaloj and that afternoon she took a train back to Dhaka.

There has been no diffculty about Emma's security in this very secretive trip. At the station, streets, trains... everyone saw her but no one could believe that Emma would actually come to Bangladesh and without even any noise. But one university student recognized her staright away. He walked right up to her and asked if she was Emma Watson. Emma gave a shy smile and nodded her head. The excited boy asked to take a picture with her with his cell phone, to which she complied.

The manager at Soyaloj requested the guy to not tell others about Emma. The guy agreed but with one condition... if they let his friend take a picture with Emma also. Emma waited as he called his friend and then posed for a picture with the two guys standing on either side of her.

On 9th July, Emma left Dhaka but before leaving she expressed her desire to come back again. Everyone says that but Emma's reasoning is a bit different.

She said that, "When I was handing out gifts to the children at school, many of them didn't say Thank You, but simply smiled at me. Your smile comes from the heart, not from the mouth. And in our country, a lot of people says 'Thank you' from the mouth but not from the heart. And to see that meaningful smile of yours, I want to come back here again."

When Emma was leaving, her smile also seemed to come from her heart.

And according to the Washington Post, Emma's now being considered for Lisbeth Salander role, but I don't think it's true. She's too busy with Harry Potter, school, and People Tree and who knows what else to film a movie trilogy.

I don't like the hair at all. I really want to, bc I also think it's very brave of her to do this and because she's still a beautiful girl, but she's just a lot prettier with long hair. I really understand that she wants a change after all those years of Hermione, but why so short? A bob (even a very short one) would have been a lot better for her imo. The only person I like with short hair (and then I'm talking about really short hair) is Nathalie Portman. She can pull it off because she has such great face structure (imo). But it's indeed just hair and it will grow, once it's past her ears I'm sure I'll love it, but now....

It's just so short in ALL areas, I think she would look better with something Keira Knightley had:

^I love Keira's too, but Emma and Keira have two completely different facial structures. Keira would've looked SO weird with her hair as short as Emma's.

I think Emma's will look 10 times better after it grows a little bit. But I do like it. Emma has a pixie like face, so this type of cut works for her. It's similar to this one:

I see more Jamie Lee Curtis than Mia Farrow in the most recent candid.

Also I don't think she's being considered for the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Her acting is pretty much awful and does not even come close to her competition (Ellen Page and Carey Mulligan). Editors just like to insert her and Kristen Stewart's names into their stories so the HP/Twilight fans will read their blog/site/etc.

i am LOVING her new haircut.

Also I heard she's been dropped from Burberry?? no way! :(

Emma would never do the Salander role, because she's very dedicated to her education and GWTDT starts filming this October and Brown starts in September. Plus, Emma just finished a film series. And her reps just denied this news anyways on GossipCop. I think she's talented enough to pull it off, but she's too well known. They need to cast someone who's not as popular.

Lisbeth will probably end up being someone like Lea Seydoux or possibly Ellen Page. That's who I'm hoping for at least. B)

^ Probably because they wanted to change it up so the campaigns didn't get "stale" from using the same face all the time. The funny thing is that Rosie's already done too many Burberry campaigns, if you ask me. I'd rather have Emma than her any day.

Now, if it were between Emma and Lily, that might be different... :)

^ yeah i guess i get that. Even though I love Emma, its always nice to see something/someone new. So Burberry always does casts someone British then? If so, I would love to see Imogen Morris Clarke in the next campaign. I think she would look awesome! But i just think if Emma was cast once again, it would be cool; because of her new haircut! It would look edgy; i know its not the words you usually associate with Burberry. But it would be fun!
