I hate to say this, but I really don't like Emmanuelle's eds in the September issue.
Kate Moss has no sparkle in "Kate dans la peau" and I have the impression I've already seen this ed a thousand times already.
And the one with Terry Richardson, I know it's supposed to be funny, but I find it rather tacky. And there's nothing special about the styling anyway, it's just a few uniforms.

^Agreed. Emanuelle needs seriously to reinterpret herself: her work is becoming a caricature...

I Agree too, as much as it pains me to say it.
The editorial reminds me of This Editorial with Erin Wasson shot by Terry for the October 2008 issue, and as much as a fan i am of Kate her editorial is very boring and repetitive, her editorial is the same as her September 2010 UK Vogue cover and editorial by Demarchelier and the October 2009 Vogue Paris cover and editorial by Inez and Vinoodh.
i think her personal style has invaded her editorial style.

the tragedy of possibly not being able to have
Alt/Saglio in my hands and in my library is some next level shakespearean bullshiiiiit

emmanuelle, console me with new candids please...

^ So shall I. *faint*

(Before I fainted) Although Terry is not really my favorite, I actually liked the ending of the Corps d'Elite ed. Didn't expect it! On the other hand, Emmanuelle should do something different in her styling because imo, I've seen those looks before.. on her! which I absolutely love, but I feel the need/want to see something different in her work.

Isabel Marant talks about Emmanuelle:

Meanwhile, the other French designer maintaining a contemporary line of chic basics, Isabel Marant, talked to Russh in their July/August 2009 issue about how she started working with her stylist and Vogue Paris fashion director Emmanuelle Alt:

It’s funny because Emmanuelle and I kind of started out together a long time ago. I always admired her style and what she did for Vogue, but we lost contact for a while because she was overloaded with work. Four years ago her husband Franck Durand became my artistic director and I was always saying ‘I love what your wife is doing, I would love to work together with her one day.’ So it was little by little. Now we have done about five shows together. I love the vision she has for my clothes, she manages to put them together in a way that is a bit more sophisticated than what I did before . . . I love it when she goees tac, tac, tac… puts the different pieces together, and I’m like ‘oh yeah, that’s exactly it!’

and a lot less interesting...

I couldn't agree more with Isabel, Emmanuelle has a great eye. Everything she touches turns gold (Balmain anyone?), and everything she wears becomes the "it" item of the season...Oh Emmanuelle you are a genius!

^I wouldn't call her a genius anymore :ermm: Her work as a stylist is the same thing over and over which tends to make me thing she's a bit narrow-minded fashion wise, and her personal style has become totally uninteresting to me. Being a walking ad for brands you work for doesn't make you super exciting and genius-like IMO...
