Enhancing Growth ( Height )

It amazes me that the celebs you listed are around 5'2-5'5, they appear so much taller, actually have stature to be so short. I'm 5'5 and I feel like a massive miget because everyone around me are all 5'9" and above. Guess the only thing you can do is wear high heels or invest in those stilt shoes that tom cruise wears!

I'm just gonna make this nice and short

1. Not everyone (and I would say very few people) grow in height until they are 25 lol

2. Just because people on a swim team are tall doesn't mean swimming makes people tall.

I would suggest that instead of looking for some kind of magic growth thingie you guys use your energy in paying attention in school and building your futures.

Good night

straighforward and nicely put. :D

Keep in mind that the tall gene is the dominant one, so look for tall relatives!

I'm 16, and I was about 5'3" and hadn't grown more than, maybe, 1/2 an inch since I was 12. I've just recently started consistantly working out, and I'm now 5'4" 1/2. Not four inches, but I'm thrilled I'm still growing, AND that I'm now taller than my mummy.

i was wondering if anyone knew anything about a suppliment/pill called sato growth? Any information would be fantastic

How is 5'5" "very short" (quoted from an above post)? That's totally a normal height. You don't need to be six feet tall to be beautiful or garner respect from people. I've never heard of short people getting less respect.... I've been 5'8" since I was 16. I just don't see why anyone would have surgery to be taller, IMO-- don't flame me! We are what we are, and you should love yourself, height and all.

I am 16 and 5'6, i wish I'd grow at least a bit. I like tall women, but i would be just happy with 5'7 already, but i think it's very unlikely that i will grow, it's seems like my puberty is stopped:doh: Oh well ...

In Your Experience, at what age does one stop developing?

At what age does one stop growing in height, and developing?

Is it true that once you stop growing, your body immediately start to go down hill slowly that you rarely plateau?

Hmmm I dunno I grew 3cm that's an inch and bit when I was 19 and I've been smoking for years :ninja: I was already tall too...I'm now 5'9 but Im pretty sure I won't grow any more...I wander how much taller I would of been if I didn't smoke

I don't know about genitics....my dad is tall or was, guess you shrink when you get old  but I pretty much the same height now...and my mum 5'5-5'4???

I was never a tall kid. I got a growth spurt in my late teens. I didn't hit 5'9 til I was like 21 yrs old. So there's hope!

Whoa im the complete opposite, i was always a tall kid and i've gained 2ins since 2006 (im currently 5'9.5 :flower:) plus im still young so maybe i've still got an inch left

want to stand back to back??

anyhow, no offense but this thread is a bit looney. people are not chia pets. there is no magic formula to make yourself taller.

have good posture, walk confidently, and no one will even notice how tall you are :flower:

one of the smartest things I have read today.

to be honest, i dont know how tall I am im guessing im close to 5"9 i just turned 19 and i know im still going through ahem puberty because im outgrowing my friends and im a bit of a late starter. Yoga helps allot because you may have bad posture

For the last two year I thought I was 172 cm tall and then recently I discovered I am taller than someone who is apparently 173 cm. So I guess it is possible .. four inches sounds fairly much though.

I'm 20, at 18 I quit smoking and grew half an inch. Although it really all has to do with genetics. My mom's side are a bunch of Swedish GIANTS (her sister= 5'10, her brothers = 6'2, 6'3, 6'5, 6'9). And my 7 year old cousin is 5'4 already and the other one is 5'10, lol. Oh and I'm 5'9 and 1/2 btw. I always thought it had nothing to do with surroundings really and just genetics. My sister's friend's family is really tall and her mom smoked like a chimney all her life and around her and she didn't eat that great all the time and she's really tall.

I just want to let people know though that when you're taller, you constantly have to look for shorter heels (or I do anyway). So watch what you wish for. I also have to make sure the guy I'm with is taller than me, lol. (And being tall does not = a foot in the door of modeling either.)

That's true: you also have to be naturally thin and most tall people are going to have a larger frame. I knew a girl who was 5'9" 34-28-38 who thought she could model, but she would have needed to lop off 4 inches on both her waist and hips. She was already thin for her frame so unless she was going to have an operation to shave down her hip bones and take out a few ribs, there was no way she was ever going to be a model.

^ hey thats sooo true.
Ive seen models in Paris and they look more petite than I am (and I am not tall)
Not only are they thin, their frames are really small.
