I lock my front door when going to bed, but don't bother if home during the day. I don't have statistics but I'd imagine robberies are very uncommon in occupied houses, as are attacks by strangers..

hey hey, it's not our fault if we're in a crime filled area I've gotten my laptop stolen from my car and my bike stolen from my yard.. sigh.. I'd love living where I could leave my doors open!

Just to give you an example, in some countries like Swizerland when people get in their houses they leave the door open.

I agree that does not make any sense to leave the door open, but that is your point of view and in fact is mine too, but the fact is that in some countries like I have mentioned, people leave their doors open, so...for them that is not stupid & does not make sense! right?
