I agree with you, but she along with the likes of Alex Wang is a poster child for that faux-effortless style that is so in right now. She has become an it-girl because of it. Everywhere I look nowadays, fashion-followers are trying to look effortless, while it is obvious on most that they are following this trend, which makes it definitely not effortless. But it's not like everyone can be Kate Moss.. Erin has good taste and looks great most of the time.

I agree with you pingy1030, i think in interviews she tries very hard to market herself as being really relaxed and carefree when it comes to style... although it's so obvious that she puts alot of thought into every outfit and i guess that's something about her that bothers me a bit...

The key to her effortless-ness is that she has good taste. I think that someone who wears nearly no make up, unstyled hair and casual clothes on the red carpet is effortless indeed, but the same thing could be all wrong on someone else.
The fact that Erin picks amazing pieces may make her look contrived, but she can't help having great taste!!!
