Etro Pre-Fall 2023 Milan

This is already a stark improvement from the runway collection in September. I'm happy that's he seems to be finding his place at Etro and hope to see this level of quality for the January and February runways.

I absolutely agree.

The parts that I like definitely veer into Giambattista Valli and PP+MGC era Valentino territory but that's only a boon for me. It's like a spunkier, cooler, more interesting Erdem.

I'm still not convinced, this collection is just too Gucci for me. The clothes, the prints, and the accessories just look like watered-down Gucci. And the gimmicky styling doesn't do it for me, the prints of bucket hats and gloves make some of the outfits look too much. Vincenzo can do much better.

I hope he will nail the menswear next season.

I feel like I have been into Etro more lately but maybe because they really diversify their products now. Sure if they can get Michele, that would be a great way to relaunch the brand. But I also wonder how Michele would take on Pucci.

I actually thought this is a nice little Pre Fall collection from Etro. Changes, but just enough to make it fresh, yet not too crazy.

Etro has the advantage of print/hippie influences and some colour being a part of the house codes, so I suppose this works, yeah it is a touch Alessandro-era Gucci like but polished up a bit with zoomer styling touches.

(apropos of it as a general thing - I'd rather like to see the back of those bucket hats, they've been a trend for long enough already)
