the thing about etro...somehow etro really works with conservative wardrobes...no matter how outlandish it is presented.

That is cute. It's quite a fun look that's for sure minus the body paint and all :flower:

I thought this was pretty cute...
absolutely cute purple

my recent obsession is Etro perfume line and i adore their 'refreshed'
attitude with women's accessories
(saw some fantastic 'artrisanal' bags the other day)
but this menswear collection, no matter how much i'd like to
'like it' falls flat with me.
The happy mood and the multi racialism casting,
are sure highlighting the event, but the clothes.. not what i expected...

thanks for the topic ngth :flower:

Ooohhh!!!! I love it! The use of colours is very well done and that white jacket is very nice! Very colourfull.....and very Etro!

review from Suzy Menkes

A riot of vivid pattern came at Etro, where the models entered the show by sliding down a chute. Kean Etro always has fun at his own shows and by the finale he was following the snaking runway with whoops of manic energy. That was the spirit in the over-the-top show of mixed patterns and colors. Broken down into manageable items - a checkered jacket, a Prince of Wales print or flower patterns looking like aboriginal dot paintings, there were powerful pieces. Etro's tribal message, including native American feathers and African color combinations such as brown and cobalt blue, echoed a theme of the season. And Etro's sneakers, striped, plaid or in tiny houndstooth check, showed that the fashionable male now needs to put a colorful foot forward.

A take on Etro that had me hooting out loud with laughter!

Y'all have to check this out. Funny, funny stuff!

I like the body painting alot, it's cute, none of the clothes jump out at me though:(

Without all the fluff, there's nothing worth looking at.

No matter how eccentric these shows are the stores never go beyond those shirts.

Sometimes one may find the odd trouser or belt.

Their catalogues are quite conventional though.

that's true. etro make great shirts for men with a nice collar, lovely to combine with classical business suits.

I'm an Etro fan, I just love the shirts they design for men and the colours, the women wear tends to be a bit conservative though... although I like it because it's part of what Etro is all about. It wouldn't surprise me if people ended up having a migraine attack at that show haha.

where i can find advertising pictures of summer 2005 collection in high resolution???
