Exclusives

^ My bad, I forgot about your correction when I responded to the previous poster's comment.

I know Im going to appear ignorant but why is there a need for exclusive model ? Why do some brands want to keep models exclusive ?

Please enlighten :flower:

Anna got 100 000$ ???
this muste be fake, maybe they mixed up the zeros ;D
no honestly, I could imagine at least 1000 and that is very much already!

I remember them saying Arlenis Sosa would make a total of $30 million with her beauty contract. So trustworthy!

she said it in her interview, and it's not like a joke.
and she was paid to work for Gucci that whole week, that makes sense.

I don't think it's that outrageous.
Outrageous would be $1000. Anna probable gets up to $10,000 for a non-exclusive show so Gucci would at least have to make it worth her time for her to skip other shows.

how is that outrageous. Gucci is a multi-million dollar brand
and Anna and her agents definitely wouldnt send her to be an exclusive for
only 1000 (thats how much regular shows pay sometimes). so it was defnitely 100000 like she said

okay guys it's allright
I didn't really know which amount exclusives actually get so 1000 was a lot for me already.
but 1000 for a regular show is much right? I mean yeah the big brands maybe can afford it, but i mean e.g 30 girls = 30 000$ .. ?

1000 could be average amount I think, that's why we say it's " easy money."

The Anna getting 100,000 doesnt make sense though. I mean Natalia Vodianova got around 70,000 for her exclusive runway/party attendance with Cavalli, and she is much more established then Anna.

Either Anna really got paid that much, or she is exaggerating.

$5-10K for an established, in-demand model for a major show is not that out of whack. As someone else mentioned, there is an opportunity cost that the designer has to pay for, if Anna could have walked other shows in Milan, and given her showlists before and since that season and including that season, of course she would have booked other shows, and therefore Gucci had to compensate her for the money she was losing by not walking for other Milan designers that season.

Now what I don't understand is why Frida needed to be inspired in the days immediately following the runway show. I am not saying that there is not a plausible explanation but it just seems odd from a timing standpoint.

ETA:
My guess is that the reason why Anna was paid $100K and Natalia was paid ~$70K is because while Natalia's per show rate is no doubt way higher, she does not walk a lot of shows, so the opportunity cost issue is not a factor with Natalia. However, if someone wanted Natalia at their beck and call for five days (give or take), I am pretty sure that it would cost them well over $100K.

Don't argue!
Irina Kulikova in 2007 (September-October 2007) received for show 5000$ and more
What to speak about Anna...

I think Natalia got paid that amount JUST to walk the runway, whereas Anna had to do some photoshoots and she had to "work' all week.

i dotn see how anna getting taht much per one exclusive show. she is not a well established model. and she is not "it" model either.

im not convinced

^She is more than established, she's been on practically every Vogue cover excpet U.K. an U.S. Vogue, mostly as an only girl, she's done campaigns that only top models do, e.g. Versace, Ralph Lauren and Giorgio Armani and she has her pick of runways, she's definitely established.

^^ It's been said a few times already, she was paid to be available to Gucci for the duration of Milan Fashion Week, with that being the case, Gucci is paying her for the money that she would have made had she walked for other designers in Milan that week. I don't necessarily think that she would have made $100K, but my guess is that she would have made well over $50K, and I think that Gucci is known for being one of the better paying houses, so that and perhaps her having a savvy agent, it is not that out-of-whack.

Not to mention that often included in the sum "exclusive" number/price is the days leading up to the show where an "exclusive" model would work long (often overtime) hours fitting, walking, waiting, sitting around, for the collection. A models day rate ranges anywhere from $2500 --> $25,000.. so if Anna worked for Gucci for 5-7 days leading up to the show + the show itself, including exclusivity rights... the number gets pretty high -- and understandably, as an exclusive prevents a model from working the other days, which at a caliber like Anna S it is likely she WOULD have worked the other days.. thus she is losing potential profit so requires reimbursement in her "exclusive" fee...
