Fall/winter Shopping

I'm going away for basic training this summer, and will be coming back in August with about $2000 to spend on my fall shopping. I'm going to be coming home in incredible shape, so I have a feeling none of my wardrobe is going to fit. Any idea's on some good versatile pieces for fall? What are you going to buy? When will your shopping start? Are you eager like me and already planning it? Where will you be spending most of your money?

I'm going to spend a weekend in Minneapolis shopping. Any places to hit there? The rest of my stuff I will get off of bluefly.com

Anyone ever been there? Sounds like a cool store? What's the pricing like? I really hate walking into a really cool store, only to find that I can't afford anything. I feel so out of place, and like I'm wasting the salepersons time.

Found this as well. Would August be end of season, or no? When do most stores usually hold their sales?
