Fanni Boström

Knowing Fanni Boström lives now in New York and mainly works there too, I checked her New York agency’s, 1 Model Management’s, website to see if Fanni’s portfolio (if you can call those four-picture things portfolios there…) has finally new shots of her. But I saw Fanni isn’t listed in their website anymore! My first terrifying thought was has she quit modeling? But then I comforted myself and figured maybe she has just changed the agency if 1 Model Management didn’t meet her needs. So I checked every New York agency website I could think of but alas, Fanni wasn’t listed in any of them. Elite had some Fanni in their ranks but she surely wasn’t Boström. So now I fear the worst but hope for the best. So if anyone has inside information about the matter, could he/she shed some light on the matter so that this poor soul gets some solid facts. Thanks.

She's still on their Modelwire website, as far as I know they update that one more often, so I guess she's still with them.

As far as I know, she's taking a break from modeling. She is pursuing career as an artist! Lula issue #3 had a little interview with Fanni about her artistic interests. But I have seen Fanni recently in some US advertisements so at least she hasn't disappeared completely from magazines!

I don't think she will. Like Shunichiro said, she wants to focus on her new career as an artist. She might do a job here and there, but afaik she has no interest in going back to modeling. And it makes sense, she's in her late 20's and is moving on with life...

I miss her too, though.

True. I feel two-ways about this. On the one hand I’m sad Fanni dropped modeling (as it seems now for good) but on the other hand I’m happy for her for her new career.

We fans will surely miss Fanni in the fashion field but I’m equally sure we all wish her all the best in her new creative life. And we can always leaf thru our magazine back-collection so in a sense she won’t disappear anywhere :-)

Famous movie poster painter Drew has said artists are never ready, all their lifes they strive for better and better. So it’s not an easy path to follow. Fanni already has a cute drawing style and her paintings are unusual and cool and I’m sure she will just progress from there!
