Fashion Conglomerates

encore...

re-reading this thread (and quite impressed by your knowledge!), I dare ask one more question: what about those historical brands (Vionnet, Mme Grès...) almost impossible to find on the internet? Who owns them?

I know Rochas belongs to the cosmetic brand Rochas, but what about Lanvin, too?

so much to ask... :D

I wouldn't call it a luxury comglomerate but express, the limited, victoria secret and bed bath and beyond are al owened by Les Wexner. They used to have abercrombie and fitch and hollister but sold them.

thank you Mutterlein. Zara's parent company, Inditex, also owns Oysho, Massimo Dutti, Often, Pull&Bear and Stradivarius, although as far as I know Massimo Dutti is the only brand they actually bought. Still, I guess these are mostly brands present just in spain...

Massimo Dutti is present in Europe, Asia (incl. Middle East), and South America - I'm not sure about North America :flower:

Is it? I forgot to mention Zara Home, which is the best thing under the Inditex umbrella up to the moment...

:D

Who owns your clothes?

I didn't know until recently that Iconix Brand Group, who owns the Candie's shoe brand, and Joe Boxer underwear brand, bought Badgley Mischka.

I would like to know more of the corporations behind some of the famous or even not so famous but maybe unique brands out there.

Proctor and Gamble owns Rochas....very weird pair and also Chloé is owned by Richmond, the 2nd biggest luxury owner :D
