Fashion Faux Pas - Past and Present

haha it's the glasses.. very "truman capote" as he put it. and yes, pretentious is the word! that's a fashion faux pas in itself :P

I've made too many mistakes

I'm usually too sceptic about everything celebrities wear, but I really don't understand what's so wrong with that Björk dress. It's different I agree, but it is pretty and the shoes are divine. I think this is a better look than what most of the stars sport on the red carpet, the so-called "elegant" look they wear isn't elegant at all.I like this very much!

I don't agree with everything Björk wears though. Usually she's too weird to me.

When I was younger, I had to have this black pleather jacket - it was reversible, and the other side was cow printed.

I'm proud to say I only wore it once, though. That thing was a monstrosity. :D

Probably a Christmas vest that my aunt made for me.

Seventh grade at the height of baby-t frenzy...

I wore a black baby with a silver plastic heart on the front...with a shiney black vinyl mini skirt. It hurts to think about it.
Then on Valentine's day I wore a white baby-t with a red plastic heart on it. With a red satin mini-skirt. *Shudder*

Has wearing black shoes with brown pants or visa vera been mentioned. Also:

Tapered jeans with a rubber wasteband, and what's worse. tapered ashy jeans with big white gym shoes.

pucci-esque printed leggings
tight tight gottex desert-sand leggings with tassels  :yuk:

Ellewoods - when I was 12 I would have LOVED that outfit  I went through a 'fashion designer' phase with my friend and we would draw millions of drawings of things like heart shaped halters .
In 9th grade, tiny pleated tennis skirts were all the rage (we had a school uniform but could get away with that for PE). The main attraction was that all the boys would look like this  whenever we wore them :P

Oh god!!!

Everything I wore from ages 8-11.

Baby Tees with skirts that matched the print (I feel your pain Elle Wood :P )
Bright tees tucked into stonewash jeans
Ridiculous plastic jewellery
A hiplength velvet black waistcoat/vest with diamantes on the buttons - I thought that was the coolest thing EVER at the time :o

Oh yeh when i was 11, sport-orienteered clothes were the thing to wear. Such as nike air trainers with blue tracksuit bottoms and then match with baby blue nike cotton jumper. Hmmm the height of fashion. Funny because the town centre near where i live, taht still is what to wear. Bromley, biggest borough in London, yet worst fashion sense. We call those who i described, "pikeys"

Preschool: beatles bowl shape haircut.

most traumatic haircut of my life. I will never forgive my mother for that one.....

I pretty much lived in leggings up until 4th or 5th grade, how embarassing. (with matching shirts and hair scrunchies)

and a major fashion faux pas of the general public: 2 words- muffin top. another 2 words- camel toe. (fix ya self grrrl ya gotta camel toe)

oohhh forgot. grey blazer to school with purple cap. all part of the uniform. ewww :(

so- i got this amazing long vest whilst in tokyo...
it is basically a long blazer with no sleeves...
i got very excited when i bought it and i thought it pulled a little funny a the hips when i closed it, but there was no way i was not going to get it...

flash forward...
i'm back home and i have worn it a couple of times now...
feeling very pleased with myself and feeling really sharp...

soooo- back in my closet, i am trying it on and for some reason i see a string...
and then i realize what i have done...
all the vents are still sewn shut from the factory and i wore it like that!
:ninja:...
eeps!

but the best/worst part is that once i pull out the stupid, barely visible little strings, i realize why it was pulling funny...
the back of the jacket is PLEATED at the bottom~!!!
...:o......

soooooooo much more amazing that i had even realized~!
:bounce:

well- at least there is a happy ending...
:D
