Fashion Stylists - Share Your Work, Give & Get Feedback

 I'm so sorry! That's awful....i suppose the only lucky thing is that they didn't take the clothes, that would be unthinkably horrific!

What use is your kit to anyone? How horrible...

:flower: hope it's not too difficult for you to replace all your stuff.

hey tristan, im sad for the news.......i hope everything is fine.....at least they left u the clothes....how it happened?.......my best from here.......xone

It was on set for a commercial!! I was in the wardrobe tent and had to run to the washroom too pee. I was gone for two seconds!!! It's ok, at least I'm not a makeup artist who lost his kit...that would truly suck. It's just alot of running around getting stuff to restock, wire, tape, bras, slim n lifts, panty liners and stuff like that.

oh yes...that's right....
we changed the main page...i'll try to find the image and post it here for you fashionyork...;)

:flower: thanks a bunch soft

dear softgrey, that is seriously beautiful! i especially like the one at the window:heart:

Beautiful work, softgrey. I'm so glad you posted these. Where was the location?

thanks guys......this is very 'me'...don't you think?...it's sort of how i really dress...kind of dark...kind of punk...maybe a little agressive...maybe a little fragile...
it's kind of a self portrait...but all my stories are...

it seems like the one at the window is everyone's fave......
it's amazingly consistent...

droogist...it was shot in and around an old warehouse building in the outskirts of williamsburg...(kind of a sketchy area)...my ex was supposed to move in once they converted it...but they kept failing inspections...so he never did...check out the 'intercom' system in the first pic...a bunch of people were sort of living there iillegally and they hooked up some buzzers...HA!...i loved that..!!...

anyway..it worked out for me even if it didn't for him......lalalalalalala....:innocent:

i wanted it too look sort of raw and industrial and dreary...a bit the way it felt in antwerp when i visited...so you got the feeling of where the clothes came from...it was also a drizzly overcast day which worked out quite well... ;) ...

you really accomplished all that and besides i think it's beautiful if all your stories mirror you...that's what it should be...for me at least.
and one can see that. it's not empty.

Wait till you see her other stuff. It's jaw dropping. Ooops, what have I done? :p

wow softgrey so interesting...really good to me because I look at these and see a story AND I see the clothes. I hate when I can't get a good view of the garments. I also get bored when its just a model trying to look sexy and the setting has no depth..so very boooring.

These have texture!

You shot these, do you shoot often?

no...i styled them marrimoda...:flower:
but i basically directed the team...it was my story idea because i had just come back from antwerp, so i directed the shoot...that is sometimes how it works...

i think most people don't realize that the stylist/editor usually does much more than just pick the clothes...;)..(no respect, i tell ya!!...^_^..)....
i came up with the idea...(this is the most important part!!!)...i picked the clothes, the girl, the location, directed the hair and make up...and then helped the photographer frame the shots...
you should have seen me on that chair trying to show the model how to pose......that was pretty funny...she's much better at it than i am...!!

thanks very much for the compliments marrimoda and anna...
you've both said such thoughtful things...

faust-you're a little trouble maker... :hardhead: .....but thank you sir...

***i'm going to make a lookbook thread in the photographers forum for fashion photographers to share some of their work...or if anyone wants to start one...that's fine...
***edit-did this!...

oooh. soft, you really ought to get more work up and pronto...I love looking at the outcome of people doing what they love..... could look for hours on end (and have sometimes, when people have huge galleries!) I mean, I was dying to see more before I saw Fausts comment...now its just necessary!

um...thanks arksiel...
it's taken me a year just to post this...
maybe i'll post something else next year...:innocent:

anyway...it's someone else's turn now...;)

they are all beautiful, guys- its true what they say "ten colors for ten folks" . all are unique and great. would love to see more~~

Hey I got called in to do a test with a model the other day, and I was kinda stoked about this image. The model is Mark Mccadam (totally hot!) with Stylus in Toronto and Vision in New York.

There's a series of these pictures, but I don't have a scanner and that's the only one i have on my computer. Plus, I'm kinda shy about posting my work too
