#376- these are okay. the best shot is the last but in a few of these (namely the 2nd, 3rd & 5th) she obviously still doesn't know the angles for her face. She plays up the looks in some of them pretty well and i'll give her credit for that, but a lot of her expressions still look very, very amateur (1st, 3rd, 4th). She's got tons of potential, but it only comes to life in the last picture to me..it's the only one that feels effortless and as if she isn't channeling something she's just seen another model do. There isn't enough variation in the latest pictures posted here and you will see that her best pictures from shoot to shoot often resemble.


#382-these are just SO bad. I don't mean to be a debbie downer, but I find it kind of suprising that anyone thinks these look good. Do they really need any explanation? I won't even refer to one for an example because they're all pretty bad pictures..look at her poses..they get more and more awkward as the shoot progresses. As far as her expression goes, I don't know if she's actually trying to look downy or was just tired during the shoot. She looks like she needs some rest.

I know I sound like a hater but I actually liked her on ANTM, she was one of the better contestants. But I'm not sure she's proven modeling to her forte..at least, for me. She's beautiful, there's no denying that; but I think that most of her pictures are just resting on "pretty". Stunning! Our girl is blowing the ANTM curse to smithereens. I would love to see her on the cover of Vogue Italia or even Teen vogue. Her look can be very versatile imo.


Oh and yeah the whole 'black and I'm proud' thing is aburd! *edited*

*edited* I like Fatima just like all of you do, but she cannot take a good picture in MY opinion. I need to *edited* because I think she needs to improve? Is there something wrong with me because I'm not continuously posting about how flawless her skin is? I never said she hasn't improved, because she has..but there's a lot more work to be done. There aren't any guidelines about how I need to bow down and worship her, so I'll just give my honest opinion just like everyone else. I don't care if I sound like I'm hating.

Can we dial it down a notch? It is possible to have a polite debate or even an intense discussion without insulting one another.

Fatima has come a long, long way as a model. Her face is undeniable. As soon as I saw her in the ANTM line-up, I knew she had potential. I am very glad to see how New York Models has managed her career.

Having said that, I agree that she still has problems with her facial expressions. It was evident on the show that she was not a natural model. She needs to work on it, and she has, but there is more to do.

Having said, that Fatima's face carries her quite far even when her expressions are not up to par. She is so stunning with a natural elegance that shines through - even when she was being completely catty on the show.

I am glad she has done so well. Being on ANTM can really be a hinderance, and of course there are so many designers that just will not hire black models. Like others, I look forward to more and I think that if she can pull her facial expressions she can do better.

If she did a shoot with someone like Sessilee Lopez - who is one of my absolute faves - or even someone from the old guard like Beverly Peele (love her!) they would blow Fatima right out of the water.

I love the Marie Claire spread, but I agree that several of the pictures for Rue La La are really not good.

*edited* Being black and proud is not a bad thing. Being a bad model who just happened to be of African decent is something different entirely. *edited*
