Favorite "Cheap" Shops?

i like to go to zara, because is very funny to see designer clone clothes, but i haven`t bought anything since 3 years ago, the quality decreases every season.
gap, banana republic, a&f, or old navy are very boring.
and mango doesn`t have clothes for guys:(

valu village
goodwill
salvation army

(i'd choose these any day over H&M and their kinds)

i love shopping at h&m for random things that i find there. they are good for fairly nice things for dirt cheap.

ive never shopped at zara...

Witht so many members of TFS being quite well-off, we have different definions of "cheap". However I think H&M and Old Navy are universal.

I suppose H&M speaks for itself.
Old Navy is 90% crap, but sometimes there are really really surprising pieces. I'm not kidding. A black wool cardigan with white piping, a lace blouse, a floral silk top, great flats. This is women's of course. Menswear will always be shameful.

Value Village!! I always find something amazing there. It never fails me.

I have to agree. Once in a while, they put out a gem.

I can't believe that many TFS posters shop at Urban Outfitter's. I seriously refuse to shop there because the clothes there are just watered down, mass produced versions of a thrift store find. They're just bland generic copies of the latest "hip" trends, they try way too hard to appeal to every subculture (hiphop, indie, hardcore) and no matter what you get there 1000 other people are going to have it AND wear it on the same day! It is completely overpriced for the quality. Even if there are things I like there, I refuse to purchase it. However, they do have a great selection of humorous books!

You could probably say that about most cheap stores.

Manzaline, "fantastik" sounds a lot like Ross, TJMaxx, Loehmann's or Filene's Basement here!

All three of those stores sell brand-name things at a big discount (sometimes you'll even find designer items that are overstock from places like Saks Fifth Avenue).

Pastry, I agree about Old Navy occasionally having a surprising find...right now they have the following stuff I like (photo credit: www.oldnavy.com)

There are NO cheap clothes - at least no decent, cheap clothes - here in Costa Rica. They're all expensive, except the ugliest, crappiest kind. Plus, the Mango and Zara clothes here are waaay overpriced, and they aren't even top quality. Which is a shame. But oh well...

I like Express in the US, Le Chateau in Canada, and Mango & Benneton (I only like Benneton in Italy, maybe because there are a hundred thousand stores over there and it just seems 'right'? I dunno).

I have to say that I bought a few things for going out at Charlotte Russe Don't kill me!!

Value Village...The best cheap shop in canada...You can find some of the best stuff in there..you just need to have lots of patience to search the racks and racks of clothes..the other day i bought a beautiful purse for only 6 bucks...yay

American Apparel Outlet. AA clothes are already good prices, but the outlet is beyond good deal. i love the fit, colors, and simplicity of the LA based brand.
