My Review

The Best

Roberto Cavalli- The eighties feel and my partiality to Du make this my fave

Hermes- The ads look like something from a fairy tale! Love it.

Gucci- It's so electric and the colors are outstanding!

Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein Jeans- Just so cool B)

Dolce and Gabbana- Best collection of the season and most of the models look better than ever before; love the Napoleonic feel

Valentino- Sexy!

Very Good :crush:

Versace- A bit underdone for Versace, but the models look great and the clothes are beautiful

Louis Vuitton- The coloring just turns me off, but the bags are super

Moschino- My guilty pleasure; there is something very sixties about it

Vivienne Westwood- I like anything with Tilberg; the ads are less than creative, especially for Westwood, but the collection and models are great

Thomas Burberry- There is such an all at sea feeling... I love it!

Burberry- So rock and roll.

Armani Exchange- Two of my fave models in a club atmosphere and great clothes? I'm in love

Vera Wang Princess- Camilla looks so beautiful, and the ads are young and carefree; the fragrence is lovely as well

Miu Miu- The collection, ads, and models are very much superior to Prada

Etro- Reminds me why Milla is a supermodel :D

DKNY- Very New York, and the styling is super

Swarovski- Another fairy tale ad!

Good ^_^

Ferragamo- Not the most original campaign, but the models all look like they're having fun!

Missoni- You don't get a good look at the clothes, but the look is sensual and film noir, and the idea is executed quite well

Kenzo- I like the Asian feel, but all the ads seem to be the same every season

Pollini- The first time I saw one of the ads in Vouge, I liked it automatically; Bianca looks fierce!

Anna Molinari- Nice and grungy, very cool

Carolina Herrera- If this was anything other than Herrera, I would probably consider the setting dull. But the mature feel of the clothes suits the setting well, and Inguna wears it well

Chanel Eyewear- Looks really good; Selma has real style and a way with the camera

Fendi- I like Angela's expressions and the collection

Ann Taylor- The models save this ad; and they look good

Giorgio Armani- Boring but beautiful

Blumarine- Feels like Grandmas closet; a premise we've seen before, but executed well

Oscar de la Renta- Nice setting, but I guess I just don't like the styles shown

Fair

Pepe Jeans- There was a good idea behind it, but execution was sub par

Chanel- I have nothing against Daria, she's a beautiful model and very talented; but compared to last season, these ads are dead

Benetton- Looks good and different from past seasons, but the clothes hardly impress

Prada- Nice setting; bad clothes and Sasha looks bored/depressed/tired

Dior- Boring.

Bad :yuk:

DSquared- The only thing keeping this from ugly is the models. It just looks raunchy like a forties p*rno. That said, the clothes are better than usual.

Michale Kors- Makes Chanel ads look innovative.

Ugly.

Tommy Hilfiger- Yawn.

mostly agree with that ^ apart from Prada and Chanel which I really like :p

I actually think Chloe, Prada, Fendi, and Roberto Cavalli is the best of the season.

Especially Chloe (Malgosia and Carmen).

Givenchy and Miu Miu are cool too.... but to a lesser extent.

Here are my thoughts:

Awesome ads:

Jil Sander-Taking two newbies, one who didn't even have a runway season, putting them in the clothes, and nothing else besides a small "JIL SANDER" in the corner. Not only focusing on the clothes, but the stark basicness of it all is what makes it amazing.

Dolce & Gabbana-Lots of models, but that's not why I like them. It's the theatrical element, I am a drama major and the ads tell a story.

Ermanno Scervino-Yeah, I'm biased. But the ads are so sexy, there is nothing wrong about them in my book, it is as good as Diana's Moschino ads.

Kenzo-I love Anna Mariya, but also they are great ads, great setting.

Cacharel "Noa Perle"-Very beautiful!

Swarovski-Exactly the look that I like, I can even tolerate Marta!

Good ads:
Gucci-While I'm not a fan of the models, I love the night look with the wigs. Frida is really coming into her own at Gucci and this is definitely a step in the right direction.

Mulberry-It has to go on here because it was some of the last work of Heather Bratton, but also it is a beautiful ad in a very haunting, morose kind of way.

Bottega Veneta-It was a simple ad, black-and-white, but it was what made me like Inguna because it showed that she has a very classical look which can stand out.

Burberry-It was probably the best concept, getting many generations of Brits together, putting them in a quintessentially British brand, and shooting it in black-and-white. So cute to see everyone from Stella Tennant's daughter to Penelope Tree to Gabriella!

Juicy Couture-Thankfully, not that many tracksuits. Lisa's look suits that brand well, and I had thought it would just be the models sitting on various levels wearing the aforementioned tracksuits, but the brightness makes it so fun.

Bad ads:
Dior-First off, I don't like Kate Moss. Second, the ads look all contorted and they do not make me want to buy the product.

Alberta Ferretti-I love Natasha, but these ads were horrid. The masks, the fact that it was so hard to ID, and it was very unoriginal.

Louis Vuitton-Some ads were great but it felt a little uninspired.

Sisley-Not as tasteless as normal, but still bad.

Tommy Hilfiger-Need I say more?

Versace-Big disappointment. They messed up Christy's face big-time, and when Kate Moss is the one I like BEST in an ad, that says something.

^I think you meant Angela for Alberta Ferretti? ;)

I very much agree with you! :) But I need to add Hermes and Oscar de la Renta to my Awesome Ads list :)

I recently received my September US Vogue in the mail and I've finally had a chance to see the ads, up close and personal. I don't know how else to explain this...but it's quite different to see ads in physical print as opposed to the images that are posted here online.

If I could vote all over again, it would be for Hermes with Stella. That is one helluva campaign.:mowhawk:

Yeah I meant to say Angela. I would also add Liya's Givenchy ads as well as Ilona and Lisa for Anteprima under awesome.
