Who is your favourite black female singer? the Divas.
In terms of both beauty AND talent. and compare them each at their prime. For example, Ella Fitzgerald is dead, but in her prime how would she compare to the rest. Aretha is old and Whitney is really hurting. but in their respective primes...
well, as sad a state as miss whitney is in right now, i think that if we look at her in her prime, she blows the others out of the water in terms of talent AND looks.
imo, Whitney is the only one who has model-worthy looks. in fact, she started her career as a model before quitting to pursue her singing career. she's always had a fantastic body and great skin and a perfect smile.
in terms of raw talent, while Beyonce and Alicia are certainly both talented -- they're both in their primes right now and there's not a chance in Hell either of them could touch "I Will Always Love You" or "All The Man I Need" or any of Whitney's other big hits with their vocal abilities.
Aretha, Ella, Billie, talented beyond words. but they're legends and i wouldn't want to compare them to anyone else. (though i still think whitney at her best could do anything they could do). Tina was never as much of a vocalist as she was a rockstar. i love her and her energy.
SOOOOOOOOOOO,
my vote is for Whitney.
