mmm... Nara is awesome. so funny, and his paintings are so powerful. i'm always surprised when americans like them though... and Neo Raush is greeat too. Both of them have shows going on here right now. so amazing.

yeah, she's amazing... south africa is putting out some really interesting stuff as of late.

Schiele; Miro; Klee; sometimes Gauguin. I have to say I don't like the fact that a lot of art has been cheapened by overexposure. Monet's and Van Gogh's work seem so cliche to me now - which is a terrible injustice to these and many other artists.

maybe most of them are from around 2000-03.
it was 2002 when he finished the painting on the ceiling, in his late seventies.
 
I'm a sucker when it comes to modern art. I love Van Gogh
 
runner, Kenninji looks gorgeous! japanese gardens are paintings themselves...
