Fendi F/W 12.13 Milan

It's a little crowded. There are so many pieces, additions and layers here, but you know once you concentrate on the individual pieces, this is actually quite beautiful. I especially like those skirts with the multiple incomplete layers. The giant belts are great, they remind me of McQueen S/S06.

I by no means like all of it but I thought that this was quite an exciting collection coming from Fendi. It's different and there are some innovative looks here. As a whole it looks like one big mess but up close there are some very interesting elements in every look. I just feel that it's almost a bit too much to process all at once and I'll probably have to look at it a few more times to understand what is even going on here, but I really don't see it as quite the disaster as which most others see this.

At first I purely don't like the collection, but after the collection is motion, I hate it even more, Karl casted 80% of the models whom don't know how to walk or walk painfully like Saskia, Joan, Arizona. This is just so bad

i'm getting a definitely warrior vibe from this...
like an Asian/Samurai warrior vibe if that makes sense...
especially with the hair, the big belts, the strong shoulders.

Incredible interpretation, I personally thought of Boudica when I saw that plaited hair and those beaded bags.
There is so much about this collection that I love - I'm ready to divulge.
The use of the long fur as high collars; the intricately beaded bags somewhat replicating some ancient Roman artifact; those dresses with the straps supporting a draped neckline; the simplicity given an edge with unusual fabrics; the flat buttons exquisitely placed; the unusual silhouettes; the tribal flag-looking furs towards the end; the excellent shoes...
The list goes on.
Fendi has disappointed me for about a year, but this is truly a collection that has made me excited about it again - I can't wait to see the show and hear the music.. and the campaign! Imagine the campaign with that deer and Persian lamb coat!

Some great details..

The belts were very distracting. Without them, I think this collection would have gotten more positive reviews.

Love the hair and make up.

The furs were the best part of the show, especially the dress/suit Poly was wearing and the yellow coat.

so geometric ! i mean everywhere there are structures (belt, top...) and it works very good thanks to materials applications
