Ferrari S/S 2025 Milan

I am very confused about this brand and its target market, since it doesn't make sense that their car owners would want to wear those clothes when they can afford those top-tier luxury brands. At its best, Ferrari fashion can work as a sportswear brand or a fashion uniform line for their car owners' escort girls.

I had no idea Ferrari had a fashion line, let alone that they presented at Milan fashion week. I also don't know where they're sold or who the designer is. Is it the most innovative thing ever? Certainly not. But you know what, this isn't bad at all.

If there's anything that stands for Italian luxury, it's Ferrari, so why not expand into a full luxury lifestyle offer and dive into fashion. The fabrics look beautiful, I love the palette (maybe too much burnt orange in the first segment) and most pieces will easily fit into a modern luxury wardrobe. Some of it's quite desirable, actually. They could've gone full-on branded and logo-heavy (like Porsche's "fashion line" for instance), but instead, they're showing what Fendi should be showing. Cute cast, too.

For me Ferrari as a fashion brand is not working. I know Elkann wants to turn Ferrari into a lifestyle brand but I don’t think fashion is the route for that.
The only convincing thing for me is FERRARI eyewear.

They could have done collaborations with fashion brands, much like Gucci did the Fiat collaboration, maybe do a collaboration with Gucci, Valentino, Valextra or whatever, more about lifestyle, with the Ferrari red and leather only and extended it.

Maybe things linked with movement and sports rather than style. They can do Down Jackets in leather.

Ferrari is a status symbol in cars. It isn’t in fashion. And that’s the issue and that’s why it feels irrelevant anyway.

Once they invited me to Maranello (I couldn’t care less about cars tbh) and to this store… Dear lord I didn’t even know what to say. It was so absurd.

Tbh, all this money would be better invested in poor people or in some NGO.

Not a horrible collection (there's been far worse this season), but there is no really need for Ferrari to be doing this. Maybe smaller capsule collections, stronger focus on accessories and like @Lola701 said, collaborations with other brands would make more sense.

Look 16 is doing something to me though, but I think my horniness is getting in the way of my lack of better judgement.

Agree with you @JohannesL - I've been saying the same thing since this appeared on the show schedule for Milan. But, in my very American way, I assumed it was bigger in Milan than it was out here, perhaps. But it doesn't feel like it's sought after. Like, who demanded that we get Ferrari clothes? I know they use the same leather from the seats on the pieces, at least they used to; but I don't know- that's limiting. You gonna use Ferrari scrap metal for the accessories? Like, how much longevity does this have? I'll have to look at the numbers, I am wondering about their revenue. Were they just competing with Porsche Design? I know they have sunglasses.

I feel like their fashion extension plays into its very expensive marketing techniques. like how they put $500 0000 000 into F1. Being that directly associated with Milan Fashion Week is a plus for them since it puts them ahead of the curve.

Those rich deep shades of orange and brown are divine, a truly flawless colour palette here. Absolutely love that brown dress on Sacha Quenby!

I don't mind that Ferrari are trying to expand their luxury brands into fashion, but it's gonna take a LOOOOOT more than this to be convincing.

Ironically, the brand's automotive legacy puts them at a disadvantage for a fashion collection because their cars are basically hardwired into modern pop culture. Associating Ferrari with anything else is going to take a lot more ingenuity than being a Ferragamo clone.
