Fifty Shades of Grey

Noooo Sam! I'm not sure Jamie and Dakota would want to do it without her

I think she did a great job, that's really a surprise. And they seemed in good terms at the London premiere, that's weird...

It wouldn't surprise me if Sam pulls out of the sequels, read she had epic clashes with the author. But one would thing that the books are so badly written and heavily panned by critics, E.L would heed good advice from someone who knows a bit more than she. Maybe Sam's contract stipulates she can opt out/change her mind for the sequels? Too bad, I think she did great job with such horrendous material.

Umm am I the only one who hated the ending? It was such an awkward place to leave off.
The end was surprising, but a nice cliffhanger for part two.

I was sitting at my desk today remembering how brilliant that contract scene is :D
I need Jamie's major line in that scene as my text tone lol

Which line was that? He had a couple of good zingers.

[spoiler alert]

"i would like to **** you into the middle of next week"

My fave scene! But I did not like the movie very much. Just like happened to me with the book, it has not a major conflict. I was surprised about how good Dakota was in it, but I didn't not feel the thing for Dornan.

I went to the pre-premiere with the absolute lowest expectations. But if I said I didn't like it i would be lying (I haven't read the books though). Of course there were certainly few moments I rolled my eyes but overall I did enjoy it. I also like the soundtrack, especially Love Me Like You Do and a new version of Crazy in Love.

Love the soundtrack too, the best songs are Sia's Salted Wound, Skylar Grey's I Know You and my favorite by the Vaults, One Last Night. I have those three on repeat on my iPod.

Oh One Last Night is amazing.
Also love Haunted & Crazy in Love. Worked so well in the movie.

I read the trilogy in 1 1/2 weeks.
Not looking forward to watching the movie when the wrong actress plays Anastasia.
And the actress who plays "Mrs. Robinson" is not Sharon Stone.

If you loved the books I pretty much guarantee you'll love Dakota. She's brilliant.

I saw it last night with a few girlfriends, and the entire audience seemed to think it was a comedy. The woman next to me was crying, she was laughing so hard  Oh man, it was a great night. I had tears running down my face from laughing so hard.

A friend and I were discussing on the way home, how Charlie Hunnam would have brought a strength to Christian that Jamie just didn't seem to pull off.

Dakota was amazing, she was probably my favourite thing about the entire movie.

Surely the point is that Christian isn't strong though?

I think Jamie was great at showing his vulnerability, and showing glimpses every now and then of the man underneath.

Bless Sam Taylor Johnson for making such a turd of a book into an okay romance. I am really happy that Dakota seems to be the one who is breaking out and not Jamie. She was really great, funny yet she grounded her performance when it needed grounding. Jamie just seemed to be phoning it in most of the time, his accent was inconsistent and he was not "dominant" at all.

The soundtrack was another highlight for me as were the flats that Anna wore. If anyone could ID them, I would greatly appreciate it.

Lol I hated her shoes! Hideous

You didn't think he was dominant? Even in the red room? And with the ice?
Jeez I need to get out more lol

^ I think I just like the way Dakota wears things. Apart from that hideous pale monstrosity Anna wore meeting of course.

The only part where I felt that he was dominant was the final red room scene otherwise I felt as though there was an air of reluctance to Jamie's performance.
