Fish Oil / Omega 3 Oil

but buy good quality ! a lot of them contain mercury ! buy the most organic ones its very important, especially when u are taking something on a daily level

Im surposed to take these fish oil supliments for my add and dyslexia but i found they made my hair greasy ... maybe my over imagination or if they were even linked .. anyone else find this ??

^^I've notice this too, but I didn't think it was the flaxseed oil I've been taking. It makes sense though, but since my hair is growing so fast, I'm not complaining. I just wash it more often.

ETA: How does it affect add or dyslexia??

Fish oil capsules and olive oil are HIGHLY beneficial to your health (and make you look gorgeous - oils = shiny hair, strong nails and nice skin!!!) and should not be avoided simply because they are a fat.

While there is a lot of proof that fish oil is good for you, there is no proof that fish oil capsules will do anything. The companies that make these products are not regulated by the government and can put anything they want in the capsules. You could be taking something that has no fish oil in it at all! Your best bet is to just eat more fish. Refined products like fish oil capsules won't do much.

that of course depends the quality of fish oil you you buy...the more expensive and more organic, generally the better quality and the more likely to make a difference to your health

has anyone tried sonya dakar's omega-3 repair complex? if so, what are your feelings about this product?

Hmmm... I never really hear about Omega-8. I only hear about 3 and 6. I'd like to find out as well.

P.S. I've been taking one Omega-3 capsule per day. My skin looks a lot healthier in just a week, but I don't know for sure if this is because of the Omega-3 capsule, the toner I've been using, or the lack of moisturizer I've been using. I guess a combination of the three?

I take Omega 3,6 and 9 fish oil tablets from Holland&Barret.
They helped me a lot and made me less moody than I usually am most of the time :ninja:, they also worked wonders for my skin and hair!

i know it does not got anything to do with skin or anything...but it's an article about fish oil...i stumbled over it while reading "daily mail":P

This might me a silly question but out of curiosity, is there such thing as "too much" Omega 3 and 6? I mean if one was already taking flaxseed ioil and then also consumes fish oil ....

Just to add, I tried taking Alaskan fish oil capsules once and I could smell the fishy smell coming from ....uh .... inside all day long. :yuk: It was gross and I gave the entire bottle away.

I have heard it's important to keep a balance of the omegas....
how much you should have of each I am not sure.

I am hesitant to take any vitamins or supplements at the moment.
I have read some many articles about them not having what they say on the label in the pills.
I have read of some having not as much as they say....
and some having too much, sometimes in dangerously high amounts.:o

^ yes, that's what I heard to. Something like you need a lot less Omega 6 (or am I remembering incorrectly?).

I don't take a single supplement. Not even Vitamin C. :P

My pill says you might have fish smell breath if you take a lot and it's rather like a side effect.
Its true! I used to have some really cheap ones from asda and they made me burp a bit and the burps tasted fishy. It was weird. I switched to seven seas and it stopped.

What is up with some Cod Liver Oil and Multivitimin pills having Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil in the ingredients ? How exactly are people going to benefit from that ? Check out Seven Sea's products ingredient list for example.

i take these.. theyre really good for hair/skin/nails but they stink!
