There is almost no way to do floral prints and such wrong unless you have a very ugly design. Now that I'm officially a fan of Oscar de la Renta, I do love the second outfit from Post #1. The kind of dark violet colors look amazing. I like the first picture. I've never really liked dark green floral prints, so I can't say that the third picture is one of the better looks.

The first Diane Von Furstenberg dress in Post #3 is beautiful. Something I've noticed about the look is how much the dress itself has that sort of silhouette of a Chinese cheongsam or Qi Pao dress. The alternating blend of black floral prints on a white dress look amazing. The choice of shoes for the model is also amazing. I imagined Vanna White when I saw the gray/silver dress from the Badgley Mischka. Probably because this is a beautiful kind of dress I think she'd wear on the set of Wheel of Fortune. However, this is still a head-turning dress for any other formal functions.

Koi Suwannagate has some amazing looks as well (Post #6). All four pictures (with the exception of the fourth picture) look amazing. My favorite Asian-style look is the classic red Mandarin top or Mandarin dress featuring sakura petals. These, however, still look amazing.

Here are some other looks I like from the pictures so far:
* Behnaz Sarafpour (Post #9 - love the dress and the pattern)
* Dennis Basso (Post #9 - beautiful on many levels)
* the two red dresses by Marchesa, especially the long red dress (Post #13)

There were even some floral prints at the Grammy Awards back on Sunday. So Floral Prints are anything but dead or passé. These prints do somewhat hark me back to the early and mid 1990s when there were a lot of ladies (including some different accesories) that had some print styles from way back when. Great job by these fashion designers to come up with such colorful and beautiful designs.

Even though I originally said I wasn't feeling the florals for fall (I nearly choked on them during the spring shows) that amazing Vera Wang yellow and black brocade-y looking fabric might make me rethink my stance.

It's got this whacked out Art Nouveau wallpaper feel to it, like something you might find in an eccentric mansion in Paris.

Great trend! I didn't realize how prominent it really was on the runway for fall. Thanks so much Chrissy!

I dont think we've seen this many bold florals since the early 90's...most of these looks are total flashbacks, down to the choice of fabric and fit-and-flare silhouettes
