i loved that look from the sart when i saw it last week.

i've spent my life in tropical places so neon, bright, happy colors always appeal to me. i live in nyc and EVERYBODY dresses in winter blacks/browns/grays. if i even wear white, it's a shock to most people, but i don't play by rules and i also find myself wearing lots of bright colors.

this look though grounds itself in winter by being anchored by the basic black tights. but those two colors together are juicy and sunny and wonderful to my eyes!

ughhhhh i cant STAND it, it looks fine in tiny amount like Cory Kennedy i rocking off but the mass amount is oh so no! My favourite small vintage store has suddenly decided to get all nu-rave neon bright which has made me X100 mad! ok rant over.....

To me, it looks well when done in a chic and put-together way as in the example from the sartorialist above. I absolutely HATE it in the nu-rave/grunge/hipster context like Corey Kennedy. I like the neon to be paired with a bit of class, because it forms a sort of paradox that makes you think about fashion - what it is and what it can be.

I want a dressy neon belt in pink or yellow like the one MK's wearing. Have no clue where to find one though that isnt ALOT of money.

Nothing here yet... I was all over the mall & no neon patent belts. Actually no neon belts at all other than some really bright not quite neon punk rocker belts with studs which I for sure DONT want.

I did buy these neon pink patent sandals today though...they had neon yellow too.

I am so sick of this trend. Was never good, is still not good, and it will never be cool. Unless you want to look like a 1 year old colored candy psycho.
