Which is proof this list is bull. IMG is blatantly buying slots on the list.

And i agree, including money from outside modelling isn't fair. Stupid list.

Its also how Gisele has managed to stay at the top of that list for so many years.

This list gets more annoying every year. It's a known fact that the new angels make less than 1 million dollars for being Angels. What exactly did Lily do to make two million more this year than last year? Same for Kendall and Karlie? Even with her reality tv money, she's not making that much. There's no way that Rosie and Gigi are making half of what this list says. With the high end of royalty agreements Rosie's products would have to sell 150 million dollars worth a year to get half of her reported earnings. Brands are well aware that social media followers do not translate to revenue, we learned this in 2014 so they wouldn't be making the mistake of paying these girls so much when it won't translate. A list celebrities who are proven to move products don't have contracts that these girls supposedly have. Plus the fact that Gisele and Adriana have said for years that this list is false. This list is not correct. Honestly cutting this earnings in half would be closer to the actual number than this. There are girls who have the biggest contracts in the industry ie Carolyn, Liya, Laeticia, Daria and girls who do the most work like Freja, Anja and Natasha who don't make the list because they aren't "popular" or with the right agency. Hell there are even girls who do mostly high end commercial work like Alyssa Miller who probably make more money than some of these girls really make.

the list is ridiculous! They rightfully stopped including Heidi Klum when her ventures no longer entailed actual modelling, so why include Chrissy? She's a personality/brand ambassador who's been in SI, not exactly a supermodel. I'm always skeptical about the legitimacy of this list, especially the vagueness in explaining exactly what contracts have contributed to such sums.

Gigi has all these massive collaborations on a global scale, and yet earns similar to Karlie Kloss? Doesn't seem to add up.

I saw the list a couple of days ago and my reaction was just to cackle. Because, it's ridiculous. Anyone with a sense of the business of fashion knows that it's fake news.

Re: Kendall that's the point. It feels like a capital F logic to account Kendall's current work and comparing it to Gigi's. Seeing the list and how much Ken earned feels like she used a video game cheat device (e.g. GameShark, Action Replay).

And would it be crazy of myself if I scream "salary fixing" on Ken? How much her mentioned brands' worth and how come she managed to collect $22 million? Are Gigi's collaboration somehow undervalued or something? Maybe it's just me.

I mean, I suppose it's down to worth. If she can prove that Pepsi, Adidas and Estee Lauder paid her handsomely, then her rate can be increased. And since La Perla was her last big hire, I bet they paid her big bucks. She can justify the rate by skipping from VS. Because when you look at all her campaigns it's basically all cash cows.

And as with any partnership, I'm sure Gigi had the choice to either take a lumpsum, or get a percentage of sales with all her deals. I'm hoping Gigi was clever and took the Elsa Peretti avenue by going for a percentage cut. It would mean that she won't see an immediate wad of cash, but a more slow and gradual income.

I don't understand this list. Most of the girls who are there earn these numbers through other jobs, not modelling. This is is the list of the highest paid celebrities who also do modelling sometimes for fun.
I think the only ones who really deserve their place there are Karlie, Gisele, Joan (I guess the money must come mostly from her contract with Estee Lauder? And Doutzen.)

I wish we could get a similar list but with REAL fashion models. You know, the ones we see in ACTUAL FASHION campaigns and the like. Each season we sort of crown campaign queens on here, yet they never make it on that list. I really don't care about Forbes' celebrities who model (thanks @apple ) list!

I wouldn't doubt the legitimacy of that list, these are all heavy contract and commercial girls... maybe with the exception of Rosie? I didn't think her deals with Marks and Spencer brought in that much money, though she does have multiple lines with them.

Karlie has major contracts with Adidas, Estee Lauder, and Swarovski, plus her fee for hosting Project Runway and other appearance fees, social media ads etc.

Joan has a significant contract with Estee Lauder with her own lipstick line for the brand, A fragrance contract, and her line of swimwear sold at over 11,000 Walmart stores. She also had a movie role, social media ads, a few ad campaigns, and appearance fees...

The others are undoubtedly commercial cash cows...
