Forever21 Jewelry

i read that article too, i loved it... and its true: many times cheap stuff turns out better than the more expensive ones. about forever21, i guess their clothes are ok for teenagers, judging from the pictures i dont see anything but throw-away clothes, like the article says...

got these at forever21 last week. only $4 and are actual shell, good deal. I'm going to switch the earwires to sterling silver and i'll be set.

You know Forever 21 or Forever XXI (at the Beverly Center here in Los Angeles) is not that bad. You can't go in there on the weekends. That is a store that you have to shop at when they first open...seriously. And I wouldn't recommend being adorned in head to toe forever21 either....it's one of the those stores where you purchase a piece here and and piece there and then piece it together with something with a litt more quality.

:)

i've bought a few pieces of jewelry from forever 21. some of their stuff can look tacky, but i've found some that i've liked. today a bead from a f21 necklace fell so i plan on being more careful next time.
they just opened a new forever 21 in san francisco and it's big with three floors and is housed in a former bank so it's not cramped compared to the other f21 i've been to.

seasecrets, is the new forever21 in sf really not as cramped as the others? i'm going to venture there but it will have to be on a weekend. is the jewelry there plentiful?

the store is housed in a former bank building, the three floors are very spacious & there's a large section of jewelry on the main floor and it's neat. the store is pretty well organized & clean. dressing room lines can get long on the first floor, so you can try on clothes on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Only problem is if you have sensitive ears... it will infect your ears so badly even if you just wear it for a few hours. I love having new jewelry for new outfits, but I learned the cheap stuff is not really worth it, for me at least.

If you change the hook thing that goes in your ear for a high quality silver one (you can find one at small jewelry shops), there should be no problem. :flower:

another good place for cute, cheap earrings is wetseal

these are the sort of stores i go to when i shop, just in the (quite infrequent) instance they may have a nice piece of clothing.. i hate spending even 10 bucks on jewelry.. so I opt for the cheap stuff.. We don't have forever21 here .. in minneapolis they do and I've never found anything I like..

I shopped at one of these in Dubai! I bought a pair of brown tinted aviators for around $6. I like the look of those tortoise sunglasses too. For $5, you can't go wrong. I'm going to Orlando tomorrow and I hope they have a store with sunglasses in stock there.

During my trip to New York City, I went in the Forever21 store........ OMG, so crowded, and things were everywhere, so hard to browse through the messy boxes of jewelry..........

the one in New Orleans is so cramped and messy.... I got a cute top from there but it took forever to find it in the store!

If I am a teenage, I would go for them. But now, I will buy something good quality~~~~~

i like forever 21 jewlery. Their stuff doesn't cost that much, but then again you are not getting anything that will last for years.

stuff is cute there but its disposable, it will last you about 3 outings at the most...

Here's my rant to add to the pile ;)

Disposable fashion is not OK!!! :yuk: It is morally irresponsible to buy something that will have to go into our burgeoning landfills after 1-3 wearings. I personally think hard about ever buying from a brand again if a piece I've worn alot is unwearable after its first season. Clothes should last for years, and jewelry should last even longer. Even good costume jewelry really lasts ... I have a Ben Amun necklace (very similar to something Chanel has for fall btw) I bought about 15 years ago that's still perfectly wearable.

It's extremely enlightening to go to a city council meeting where the people who actually live next to the city landfill are testifying about what it's like. Trash is nasty, and we need less, not more.

COULDN'T AGREE WITH YOU MORE :flower:
I bought these bracelets [broke 2 days after purchased because they were dropped on accident] and this really cute pink bag [scuffed and peeled 1 day after purchase when I put it down on the ride seat at Disneyland] I hate that they don't give refunds or returns on any of their accessories or bags:doh:
What you pay is what you get, I guess.

[And doesn't Forever 21 make their clothes in sweatshops? I read an article on that recently. Another reason why I shouldn't buy from there anymore]

^ I was unaware of the no exchange policy or that the bags were VERY cheaply made...I didn't expect the bags to last forever, but I didn't expect them to peel after 1 day..]

the lines are usually AWFUL at forever21 but the jewelry is perfect for like a one or two time use. even if you lose it (which happens a lot w/ earrings for me), you don't care because youd didn't spend much more than $5 or so.

you definitely get what you pay for though

I acutally love forever21 this year, I just brought a black and white pinstripe dress and it's beautiful. It definitely doesn't look like it cost $24.00! You just have to shop around for some beautiful pieces.
