Designer Consuelo Castiglioni has created a cult following of fashion lovers who are drawn to her signature silhouettes, unique color palette and one-of-a-kind prints. It’s only fitting then that this June Castiglioni is debuting a small line under the name Foulard, based on the house’s trademark patterns. “We developed this project by taking silk scarves, accessories with a very ladylike connotation, and turning them into bon-ton graphic pieces,” she explains. The set of colorfully printed totes, bangles, and stylish separates plays perfectly into the Milan-based brand’s stellar fall show, which featured richly colored furs, luxe suiting, flirty day dresses and whimsical print pairings. As Castiglioni puts it, “A runway show is like a novel in comparison to a capsule collection. Foulard is a flirtatious little love poem.”
