French Style!

I have no idea whats in the book but I'm interested in French ways of putting together an outfit, French women's beauty and fashion "must haves" and well... basically anything you post really!

I don'tknow if this is the right place to write this, but what do people feel about wearing navy and black together. I haven't worn them together since i was a kid and my friends mum told me it was a fashion rule to never wear them together. But...now i don't know

lemeray - do you live there, or do you mean you have an impression of what is french to you?

No but I was living there for a few months.

I don't think it's "French" because you will see people were those hideous boots and bag anywhere you go in the world. Not just in France.

Where I live it's such a different contrast in style, presentation, effort. It's easy now to pick the Parisan style, Im not really into the overall French style because if you go in the country of France or a town they don't really dress like Parisians...but the old ladies in France still look elegant and chic anywhere you go...

navy and black are great together. it was a trend a season or two ago I believe, and Carine Roitfield is a fan, according to her daughter!

I don't think they look bad together it all depends on the fabric, shape and cut. I think if it's a more luxurious fabric then yes it can definetly be pulled off imo.

navy and black look terrific together. as does pink and red, red and purple, pink and orange. no rules. there are no rules. what looks good, looks good.

as much as I see black with brown- I still don't like it.

Navy with dark brown however, I love

How much would it Approximately cost and what exactly does it do to your hair and how long does it last? Rofl  :woot: Thanks so much

Check out the hair gloss thread. It's kind of a rip-off to get it done at a salon. Buy Sebastian Colourshines.

i have heard about this french actress charlotte gainbourg , and she is known for her unique and french style ......when i saw this photo . i knew why

interesting piece about levis (my favorite jeans!).
charlotte is jane birkin's daughter.

Well I just came back from Paris yersterday.
Wow! it really is such an elegant city  Parisienne women really do dress well I was so pleased it wasn't a cliche. There were a LOT of cream macs on both men and women. So simple yet chic. It was so refreshing to not see any horrible fake tans too :p they understand the meaning of less is more. I only spent 2 days there but I will definitely be planning to stay for longer.
