it may sound ridiculous or rude (may be) to many of you.
but i've often heard ppl saying if you excessively engage in sexual activities like intercourse and masturbations or even sexual fantasies, your sex hormones level in your blood will be very high..that can trigger sebum productions and all that.......especially in men.
:p i personally also think that it may be true to some part because i've seen ppl with good skin rarely are sex enthus. and i personally have less oiler skin if i...:ninja: did not engage in any "sex activity" :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: for a few weeks.
i know many of you will come out with things like "oh this is an old myth bla bla bla bla bla" but i sometimes think that it sounds logistic to me.

what's your idea?????

Personally, I've never noticed a change in my skin after having sex, and I have a lot of sex. :innocent: But it could be true. In theory, it sounds like it could be true!

Yeah, and also, if you masturbate too much you'll grow hairy palms. Hands above the covers, kids!

well, if you think about it, the order should be reversed
frequent sex doesn't cause high hormones necessarily, it's more like high hormones causes frequent sex
i'm not sure about bad skin, but i did take a bio class awhile ago, and when you're in your 30s and above, having sex at least 3-4 times a week supposedly makes you look 10 yrs younger

Having sex generally gets you active and burns a lot of calories.

It is a form of exercise: "exercise will increase blood flow to the skin and aid healing, as well as improve the health of your internal organs enabling them to get rid of waste more effectively." (acne-advice.com)

So no, sex is good for your skin dear! ;)

Thanks for that Kimkhuu, good to know! ;)

Other quotes:

"Do regular exercise. This will help improve your blood circulation and eliminate toxins in your body. Exercising often helps to push out the substances in your pores through sweat." (newageinfo.com/acne-natural-10-tips.htm)

"Does sex affect acne?: - No. Although the sex hormone testosterone is the primary cause of acne you do not develop spots because you have too much of this hormone or are over-sexed. Masturbation and whether you have sex or not has no effect on acne and certainly does not cause it."
(internethealthlibrary.com/Health-problems/Acne.htm)

Enjoy! :flower:

I never actually thought about this, I mean whatever I love sex and I can't say anything bad about my skin either..well yes my skin is actually quite good. :p

That sounds like something ones parents would say if they were trying to keep you from having sex

see if you're having frequent sex, stop worrying about developing bad skin, seriously. lame.

Actually, as a male, frequent ejaculation can cause break-outs. Semen contains zinc which is sometimes the cause of acne (lack of zinc).
