Im sorry I haven't a clue over designers names and such, as I cannot read Japanese. I'm going to number each designer with their page and design.

There are more if people are interested..

brilliant .. ! each process is unique
some are more analytical , others are just moods in t he illustrations
i like the ones with the test / samples photos

great thread, marvystone

i love their sketchbook page layout! so simple and clean and straight forward...so unlike how my school want it to be -_-
im tired of cluttered, messy, all-over type of sketchbooks.

I'm so glad that some people like these, I just found some more

bunka

Thanks for posting, Marvystone:flower:;)
It reminds me of my days of being in fashion school, but my work was nowhere nearly as experimental like these:doh: I wish I had haha:lol:
I'm really drawn towards the white pieces:heart: (the 1st one is just dreamy) and all the exellent illustrations.

Oh, Marvystone, these are srsly stunning...
I am entranced...
I didn't want it to end... :crush:
Thanks so much for posting all of these...:heart:

Great pt., Muxu..
The minimal presentation and clean layout further enhance
the lovely aspects of the ideas/designs...
People tend to think clutter = interesting...
On contrary, inspiration books brimming with clutter
generally do my head...

^I had a feeling they were presentation books ...
I can't imagine creating a design with only these super few pictures in their books ... There would have to be more experimentation, trial and error , documentation to check if the design would even work or not (because some of the works are quite out there)...

Also I wanted to mention how distinct all the artists' facial features are ^_^ Quite styled most of them

i love #11... the watercolour. so bohemian like.

i like maintaing a middle ground when it comes to books. too much going on in a sketchbook can really take away from the overall concept/idea that was trying to be put forward, but also i feel that a really simple, minimalistic sketchbook (like, every page has maybe 1 drawing/idea) doesn't really convery your ideas and thought processes very well and it can get a bit boring, page after page.

Love them all!,
Japanese people are so unique, they nearly always layer! :)

Though most of them are not that wearable, it is these kind of designs that push forward the fashion industry.

THIS IS A GREAT THREAD! i think "wearability" is just a matter of taste and guts. (guts to actually wear what you like!) i would wear almost everyone!!!

Love this thread, so interesting to see the abstract way from an image to a piece of cloth/an outfit.

so- are these all students from the bunka fashion school in japan???
i am guessing this by the tiny credit in the first post...

:p

marvystone-

if you could provide the actual LINK then perhaps we could have one of our japanese speaking members check and let us know what exactly we are looking at -
though it is sort of fun to try and guess...
it would be better to know for sure... ;)

thanks!

#16..
with the torn paper (fabric?-can't tell) dress coat etc...
she needs to go work for issey miyake...
that is totally HIS idea of his APOC line...but her own interpretation...
i bet they could do great things together!..

:woot:

omg my head just exploded. those are amazing.

the trompe l'oeil trench coat dress reminds me of some margiela pieces.

thanks for posting!
