Something as controversial as Fur will never disappear from fashion and this season there's more than usual.

What's been seen a lot is the Furjacket. Detailed fur has been furtured a lot previously, but now the whole jacket should be made of fur.

Get ready for fur and lots of it. Fake or Not.

Ive seen some mens stuff that has fur that I like. Id never wear fur, but would wear the styles if it was a nice faux.;) B)

I don't like fur at all. I think it always looks like you have too much money and you want everyone to know about it. Nouveau riche...

My mother just bought me this vintage, estate-find raccoon coat and I ADORE it. I go to Princeton and she thought it'd be nice for me to channel the F. Scott Fitzgerald days of Princeton. The author was renowned for pairing his raccoon coat and Princeton scarf when he walked around campus.

So far I've gotten nothing but compliments. I think it's sort of like a drug - I'm addicted to it and never want to take it off! It's so warm and cozy, and definitely chic.

Also, it's vintage so my justifcation for wearing it is that no new animals were killed ... there was nothing I could have done to prevent the raccoons from dying for my coat because they were already dead long before I had it ;) I'm not 100% serious about this - I really am ambivalent about fur so I guess I'm a bit hypocritical for wearing it ... but it IS better than buying a brand new fur coat and endorsing the modern industry.

when is fur not a trend, im not crazy about any of these examples...

just wait until we get to dolce & gabbana, cavalli, and versace:lol:

I love fur, but sometimes it can be a little over the top (brightly colored fur, obnoxious wooly mammoth coats like the ones posted from Krizia).

I  fur hats. And the fur hood as well.

I love this coat (below) and I agree with The_Ida that the fur hooded jacket looks great too. Some nice pics.

nice examples

but when I started this thread I was thinking more of fur jackets then fur detailing because fur detailing is always a trend for fw

Agreeing, stiletto, but then again, it seems it's bit ALOT this season in particular. Some of these looks are really nice, but.. Fendi should really stop making furs. Like now. They're all the same and all fugly.

A Warm Reception

There were plenty of furs on the runways for fall, including neon chubbies and even Rastafarian fringe numbers. But there's also something to be said for a simple, effortless fur, and designers delivered that in spades, too, in everything from swingy jackets to sporty vests and charming cropped options.

photos & trend report from wwd of today

even though i'm not keen on fur and i'd never wear it, love the Malo & Cavalli jackets, and some furs from krizia & Myself posted above
