source: http://www.yoox.com/corporate/gb/yooxer_447.aspRODEO: What’s the best film you’ve seen this year?
GAEL GARCIA BERNAL: The Sons of Men by Alfonso Cuaron. And obviously, The Science of Sleep …
RODEO: The film you’ve seen the most times at the cinema?
GGB: Dumbo
RODEO: The first?
GGB: Fantasia
RODEO: The film that made you laugh the most?
GGB: Modern Times by Charlie Chaplin
RODEO: And cry?
GGB: In This World by Michael Winterbottom, The Son’s Room by Nanni Moretti, La Bamba by Luis Valdez. And Dumbo.
RODEO: The sexiest actor?
GGB: Daniel Day Lewis, Javier Bardem, Paul Newman
RODEO: The sexiest actress?
GGB: Sofia Loren, Fanny Ardant, Michelle Pfeiffer, Charlotte Rampling, Maria Felix, and Dolores Del Rio
RODEO: Your favourite director?
GGB: Buñuel, Cuaron, Winterbottom, Scorsese
RODEO: The most memorable scene?
GGB: In Andrei Tarkovskij’s The Mirror: a young woman is hurrying under a torrential rain to get to the typographers where she had delivered a manuscript that had to go to print immediately. There’s a palpable tension. These were the years that Stalin’s powers were reaching their height, a time when a typographical error in a newspaper would have caused boycotts, or been grounds for being accused of treason or being deported in Siberia.
RODEO: The film with the best soundtrack?
GGB: Help! I’ve loved the Beatles since I was a kid.
RODEO: The film everyone always talks about but you’ve never seen.
GGB: I’ve never seen Casablanca, I keep promising myself to get the DVD. And I’ve never seen Gone with the Wind, although I don’t really feel like I need to.

awww dumbo he's seen the most times?? and it makes him cry? i love his interviews all the time, they are always enjoyable to read

LONDON -- Oscar-nominated Michelle Williams will star alongside Gael Garcia Bernal in Swedish director Lukas Moodysson's first English-language movie, "Mammoth," producer Lars Jonsson of Memfis Film said Friday.
Moodysson's project is scheduled to shoot on location in Thailand, the Philippines, Sweden and New York beginning Nov. 5.
It revolves around a successful New York couple played by Williams ("Brokeback Mountain") and Garcia Bernal, their daughter and their Filipino nanny whose lives take a dramatic turn after the father goes on a business trip to the Philippines.
The film is produced by Moodysson's longtime producer partner Lars Jonsson of Memfis Film.
The director said he thinks Williams "relays intelligence, poise and presence in every character she plays."
A regular on the international big-name festival circuit, Moodysson's previous films include F***ing Amal, Together, and Lilya 4-ever.

the past few days have been crazy in makeup world. today, one of my favorites, Gael Garcia Bernal was in. i did his makeup a few years ago at either TIFF or Sundance.... the festivals become a blur. anyway, he's ridiculously hot. total top 10 in my hottest men on the planet list. he walks in and panties just drop left and right. so he sits down and i realize he has this huge cut and swollen bump on his nose... apparently he was in some bar the night before and a girl was holding two beer and turned around quickly and smashed Gael ****ing Garcia Bernal's face.
so anyway i had the pleasure of covering it up. he said with his accent, "you do so much with so little makeup. i like it very much." then he winked at me. i said, "doing your makeup would be so much easier if your **** was actually outside of your pants" and he was all, "oh, of course..."
alright, it was all true right up to the wink.
but he winked at me. sigh.

This whole Israel/Palestinian thing confuses the hell out of me. I am convinced that long after I'M GONE, this conflict will still continue - and I'm GOD for crying out loud. "Unrest in the Middle East" is a headline that could appear in any decade in any century from the beginning to the end of time, frankly. So it gets harder and harder to give a damn. Which is wrong, I suppose. But in the meantime I am going to continue in my quest to make Gael Garcia Bernal even better looking than he already is right now - if that's possible. You see, each day I do something to Bernal that makes him more and more handsome. This morning, I added a tiny fraction of an inch of length to his eyelashes. Tomorrow, I am going to concentrate on his pecs.
