My star-studded flight from Nice to Paris
I’ll soon be posting a bunch of updates on my Cannes trip, but in the meantime, here’s a shot of Gael Garcia Bernal (caught in mid-blink unfortunately) hanging out with his lady friend at the Nice airport.
Shortly after this shot, he boarded the flight I was on to Paris, getting on with the rest of us rabble and seemingly unnoticed (although I rather doubt that). He boarded alone so I guess his lady friend was on a different flight. He also had no assistant, handler nor other entourage, and unlike most “personalities” I’ve seen on flights, didn’t sit in the front but was about half way back.
Refreshing to see, and unlike Juliette Lewis who was also on the flight, had an assistant on hand (she really needs an assistant?), and was in the second row. And also on board, Lindsay Lohan, who snuck on at the last minute and sat in the first row with her own handler.
After arrival in Paris, Lindsay, Juliette and their respective help rushed off the plane and got in a private van to be whisked off to some connecting flight while I slogged off for my 4 hour layover. As for Gael, he had his own car waiting, as indicated by a woman with a “Mr. Garcia Bernal” sign at the gate. Glad to see he was getting at least a little bit of the star treatment.
