Gael Garcia Bernal is hot. Period. There is no denying that.

Anyhow, there could be a story on the wire that he clipped his toenails this weekend, and I'd read it.

And I can admit that I'd be reading it for the pictures.

Anyhow, the latest rumour that swirled around my favourite hotty stated that Argentine actress Dolores Fonzi was having his baby.

Apparently it's not true - reps have come forward and said, no relationship, no baby, nothing to see folks, move along (or something like that).

I bet he'd make some really beautiful babies.

Oh how shallow is that? Ack, who cares? He's hot. I'm shallow. The world still spins on it's axis. All is right as long as I can stare at Gael.

I tore out an image from a magazine -- it was a sexually charged tearing. I was responding to the most beautiful face (at least for the moment) I had ever seen -- Gael Garcia Bernal. Further retrieving images from numerous official and unofficial websites, it seemed I was moving from my original focus on his beauty to an encounter with my suppressed voyeuristic nature Predatory nature. Musical nature. Music, because what I seemed to be onto was a kind of 'sampling' much like a DJ/record producer does when creating a work. Studying his ( GG film Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN, I started re-sequencing the images, removing bits here, adding bits there. For example, in one sequence Gael is f***ing the girl companion of the roadtrip. By cropping her out of the movement and re-using the images I could bring my subject closer to the world of sex, desire, and politics -- three ideas inseparable in my f** world. The project has led me to explore my nature and find perhaps a new willingness to turn the cameras on me and my culture, gay men.

Diego Luna is super-cute in a James McAvoy-ish way (click here to check out Diego's thread!), but I think Gael's sexier and a bit more talented. They're both awesome though!

Science of Sleep is one of my favorites!! But it's definitely something you'll either love or hate. Some people think it's a too disjointed and saccharine, but I think it's creative and adorable.

Plus there's a scene where Gael plays the drums wearing a kitty costume. Pretty cute.
