Is anyone else a bit baffled by Dany's storyline in Qarth? Apparently she didn't have much to do in book 2 so they're improvising, but hearing her shriek about "taking back what is mine" all the time is more than a little bizarre. Do you think they could have just started with her storyline from Book3, or left her out of season 2 more? I think the current direction makes the character more than a bit boring

^i might mix up books two and three here, but all i remember from her in those two books is her walking from town to town and building an army and trying to cross the narrow see. it's super boring in the books as nothing really happens, very repetitive. i loved her in season/book 1, but after that her chapters became some of my most dreaded ones to read

oh god, her lame speeches that are always the same "mine, mine, mine!" are killin me. she's, for me, the most boring story of this season and i love this season far more than i loved the first one.

omg I completely agree! It's like she's turned into her brother or something - her story arch was so interesting last season and now she's turned into an entitled spoiled child whining at people to give her things and threatening to kill anyone who doesn't help her. Someone needs to remind her that Varys did that last season, and he did it better.

I had no idea her plot line became so tedious, how terrible And I was rooting for her at the end of season 1, now she's borderline unbearable

i read that the dragons weren't even stolen... i liked her in the first season, it was a lot more interesting there, and as you have said now is just her wanting ships (????)

Yup, the part about her dragons being stolen is part of the TV series, but not in the book. I've started reading the book, but I watch it with my friend who has read them and he pointed that out to me.

Guess because she's such a popular actress they wanted to cater to the fans of the show and wrote that in.

imo Dany´s story was interesting because of Viserys and Drogo. Then because of the dragons. But now it´s not that interesting and recently I´ve become annoyed with the way Emilia acts...

i really dont know what to think about last episode!! i mean it was really good but i missed a lot most of the cast (specially jon hehe). I know this battle was important but i got bored sometimes, i enjoyed the scenes with sansa and cersei more tbh and agh she should've gone with the hound to winterfell!!!!

I kinda want to see the dragons again. I used to be bored with the Daenerys scenes, but now it's becoming more interesting than the other storylines going on.

I preferred last week's episode and the fact that they only really focused on a certain few characters rather than jumping all over the place. Though Jon Snow should be in every single episode IMHO.

Tyrion remains the best character in the series.

for me personally, the biggest surprise is alfie allen and his theon. i think he's the real star of this season (tyrion is constantly great, so no surprise there).

i so agree with you they could do this every episode so we could get to know better the characters i mean sometimes they should a little of some of them.... kinda like skins, but its to late i guess (?)

i totally loved this last episode it did bother me at first, i was waiting for the shift to the other storylines but i think it would've been odd to cut to the other characters when there's a raging battle going on, would've made it anticlimactic plus the whole season's been leaning forward to the inevitable battle to take King's Landing so devoting an entire episode to it seems logical enough, to me that is.

the wildfire scene was beautifully executed, i clapped like an idiot and, Tyrion but what's going to happen to him in the next few episodes, they can't rid of another major character right??? i also liked how they kept switching it over to Cersei and Sansa. i love how bitchy Cersei is
