I'm really loving the colors, all of those beachy washed out greys, blues and beiges. It's slightly preppy, but in a broken down casual way.

I love the white and greys...especially the dresses! not so much the bright orange though

this reminds me of his work for perry ellis so much...

I like the grey/white clothes, it's very summery but the pops of bright color seem so random and out of place to me.

hmm...same shoes as last summer...
guess they sold really well...
but doesn't that mean that everyone already has them so they won't buy them again?!?...

I never get when brands do that...
seems counterintuitive...
:ermm:...

overall...i think the men's is much better than the women's...

Hmm. I spot a few good basics but really, we've been seeing the same thing over and over again for years. Is that what the consumer really wants. Maybe. A reliable stop for basics but really...when do basics get...too basic?

i have to agree. alot of the things do look repetitive from past seasons

It looks really, really boring.
And I hate female and male shows because I can't stand the latter.

when a yound designer like Jason Wu says that his budget is a little tight to do show AND print campaign, and decides he'd rather do the show so that he can maybe get to a couple of pages in a magazine reviewing his work and get free advertisement, i can very well understand it... but when this sort of bull@“#¬|‚¡¿! gets a runway presentation i really start to wonder where's the point in it! it's just bloody basics!! you dont need to see a runway presentation of it to see how it fits or moves or how the fabric wrinkles... you just KNOW because it's just basics! spend a little more on advertisement, or the stores, or whatever... but there really is no need to do a show for this

I could argue that MOST of the shows we've seen thus far don't deserve full on runway shows because they're all made up of basics and old ideas.

I mean, does Alexander Wang who essentially just shows basics with oversized proportions and jacked up price tags really need a runway show?

At least with the Gap it's not basic pieces trying to masquerade as high fashion.

^ well then i guess they deserve credit for being a sincere basics label! :P
maybe this season, if the designers feel any insecurity because of the economic situation, we could be seeing disguised basics collections more than ever. maybe (and i hope so) we will see jsut the opposite!
