Garage #3 F/W 12.13 : Lindsey Wixson by Nick Knight

Wow such a good cover. The best thing Lindsey's done imo.

Another three covers

The concept of the cover is really cool, but not a fan of the other 3.

I actually wanted the Teller one, but now that i've seen the one by john currin im conflicted. i cant' wait to see the contents

Lindsey's cover is positively hilarious, I love the I-phone chat lines.

I really dislike the Nick Knight cover. I think the idea is cute of the vengeful ex with the iphone style comment boxes but aesthetically it doesn't work for me beyond that, I don't like the cartoonization of it, or the the other random box with the skull. Maybe I'm not cool enough to 'get it' but it just looks bad to me.

The other 3, especially the John Currin, I love.

just another photography magazine like Hunger...total not what we need!

^If you mean Hunger by Rankin, Garage was launched before.
I see a lot of Tar but I prefer Garage tbh.

Garage is hardly a photography magazine... and it really looks nothing like huner (which i like, to a certain extent, while i love garage). I do agree there's a bit of Tar here and there.

My favorite magazine right now...you have to give Dasha credit, she knows the right people to hire. She always has the perfect team to consult for the best editorial, even at POP. I guess that's what money buys, lots of clever friends. The only time she's ever been embarrassed is when she actually has to give an interview.

Ehh I disagree about Dasha. Both this magazine and Pop under her seemed to lack direction, IMO. At least to me both of these magazines were just a hodgepodge of half-baked ideas.

I thought POP under Dasha was fantastic. Loved every issue and the defined line in which she worked, never giving too much of anything and creating a strong character for the magazine through that.

So far this looks like gimmicks fest. The last thing I'm interested to see in a magazine, is more gimmicks.

Exclusive First Look: Perez Hilton, Nick Knight Collaborate for Garage Magazine
Garage magazine's third-ever issue hits newsstands on September 10 and features three separate covers, one of which corresponds to "Text, Talk," a spread shot by Nick Knight starring Lindsey Wixson. Inspired by Roy Lichtenstein's pop art, an alternately blonde and ginger-haired Wixson enacts a plotline written by Perez Hilton (formatted as iPhone text messages instead of Lichtenstein's signature speech bubbles). Props include bananas, machine guns, and a fire extinguisher; her wardrobe features Prada and Versace. Check out our exclusive first look in the slideshow.
