She is more beautiful than her mother, and I hope she has the same success. Congratulations to Georgia on all the recent campaigns!

a pic and a brief interview

At 17, Georgia May Jagger is the youngest daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall. But rock-star father and supermodel mother aside, things became atypical for this wee Jagger only recently, when she became the face of the newly revamped denim line Hudson Jeans. Now she’s a full-grown supermodel in the making. This is Interview’s 40th anniversary issue, and as we look back through the archives, we’re seeing a lot of your parents. Have they shown you any old pictures? I’ve seen photos of Mum as a girl just before she left for Paris, like in her graduation picture. Let’s just say she changed a lot in one year. Any of your dad? We have a snap of my dad wearing blue eye shadow, which I would always make fun of. When I was about 12 and first started wearing lipstick, my dad would ask, “Are you wearing makeup?” I would say back, “You’re wearing more makeup there than I am!” Growing up, were you aware that your parents’ jobs weren’t average gigs? Not really. When I went on tour with my father, I knew he was a musician. But they were my parents. I still think of my mum as being kind of a dork—a cooler one, but still a dork. The fashion world has taken a real shine to you, gap tooth and all. Ha! I think my gap adds character. A while ago, on the street, a guy yelled, “You could stick a gold through your front teeth!” Which meant I could put a £1 coin between them. But you can’t. I’ve tried! Fifty-pence coins and 2-pence coins, yes. But not a pound.

Georgia Jagger, photographed by Tori Edwards for TESS Management

GEORGIA JAGGER may be the model of the moment, having secured campaigns with Hudson Jeans, Rimmel and Versace in the past few months, (not to mention her first Vogue cover appearance) but the 17-year-old - perhaps surprisingly - only has one thing on her mind; studying.

"Georgia won't be shooting anything else for the rest of the year," her agent Tori Edwards of TESS Management told VOGUE.COM today. "I've known her since she was a little girl and school has always been her number one priority. She is studying for her A Levels just now, so she has a lot of coursework, and until she is 18 she will just be focusing on that."

Despite Jagger's attention to her studies, Edwards confirmed that she is "really excited" to be this season's Versace girl and loved the shoot, which took place last week in an apartment over the Dorchester with Mario Testino - who over the years has photographed all the Jagger women.

"Georgia absolutely loves working with Donatella. She has given her a few pieces from the new collection and Georgia is crazy about it," Edwards revealed. "We have an archive of Georgia's mother Jerry Hall's work, including the shots she did for Versace with Richard Avedon in the Seventies, and we showed them to Georgia before the shoot. She loves them."

Great for Georgia - smart girl....no point in overexpose either when things are so easy for her ^_^ Sounds a bit harsh but in some way I guess she is the next brand of supermodel....the type that does not have to work for her family, but just does it because she has the aptitude and the star quality.

And Georgia has landed the i-D cover for Winter :woot: Don't know yet if there are several covers or just one...

^oh yes, and her cover was better than Lara's. Amazing!

i went to buy the i-D mag today and they only had georgia's cover in stock
hers was the best imo anyway, so i was pleased!!
she looks great in the ed too :D

I hope I'll be as lucky....I suppose Lara's would be ok too, since it's unique in the sense that they're not really blinking.

wow, quite like her. her features are all wonky, but they work great together!
