Gerard Darel "must have" bag here in France

I don't know if it's been said before, but there is a Gerard Darel shop in Montreal, for those of you who wants to buy one but can't go to Europe!

^^ thank you for the info, maybe others have posted that but I did not know!

They have the metallic python!

But the price  Surely they jest...

How much is it in Europe? Might be cheaper to just fly over to Paris and pick one up

My goodness, I'll love to have the python!
But the price is.....

Luxx, can you help book me a ticket to Paris too ;) ?

GD seems to be a bit quiet lately....i've heard that it's too ubiquitous in Paris (as it was hyped up years ago), but generally speaking, has the hype died down? even outside of Euro countries? Or is it due to it being 'unavailable' in North America?

Just curious...

I only got my GD last year the Pocket 24hr St. Germain...still love it! It substituted my lust over the $1k+ Balenciaga that I liked years ago but never got. Especially love my GD cos i haven't seen ANYONE carry it yet here.

^^IDK, I wonder this too? Maybe some of the French ladies can check in and tell us = are GD bags still on every other arm in paris?

^ Oh yeah, the GD bag is still a favourite among ladies here! But I guess like all items, it's not as "hot" as it were a couple of years ago.

It became a classic for some.

Let's say it's not the "it" bag of the moment in Paris but you can still spot it a lot.

what is the "it" bag in Paris at the moment, out of curiousity? I love hearing about parisian style :=) Thanks!

Also what do you guys think of the pom pom 24 style? I might be able to get one in the taupe, same color as Angelina Jolie, and am wondering if it's considered classic? If I'm 5 feet is it going to be too big?

I got back from Paris yesterday, and I saw SO many Darels...
They're everywhere it seems, last time I was there I saw more Vanessa Bruno sequinned totes but now Darel was in the lead.
Also saw plenty of Balenciaga...

I don't know about the metallic one but the other python bags are about 1300 euros.

I was at the GD boutique in the Marais a few days ago and The Utah which is in python in the 24 h size costs 880 euros.

thanks beauxgoris, aby, and stellamare.

good to know it's not 'out' yet also not too 'trendy' anymore....wouldn't want to see GD ending up like the balenciaga.

i just wish the 24hrs would come in a zipper version...don't like magnetic closures. But I suppose the zipper would take away from the slouchiness...

me too. guess i can say right now the GD bag is more exclusive than birkins and kellys over where i am

i love my GDs and i only wish i had them in other models, right now except for one, they're all the regular 24heures

I love my GD bag...bought a purple taupe 24h when I was in Paris over Christmas...the smell of the leather is intoxicating...

I got my last Saint Germain 24h in France last summer and it was either €220 or €240, I can't remember exactly. I will be back in France in a couple of weeks and am looking forward to seeing some of the new styles that are on the website and will report back with a price then if that is useful to anyone? I like the look of some of the python clutches on the website and it seems as though they haven't continued with the 'working girl' which I am disappointed about as I was hoping to get one. Would have been perfect for work, unsurprisingly enough given the name :)

^ I'm disappointed too! I wanted to get the working girl, but in the dept store in, they only had a handful of bags to choose from.

i got the pocket saint germain 24h for 300 Euro in Spain.
