Wow people really can do magic can't they? In some of those pictures she looks sooo young! But when she's not smiling (not showing her teeth) she looks alot older I think they're making her grow up way too quick!

She's a 14 year old African-American girl doing her thing. I wish her the best of luck. I haven't seen many of these type of comments on young girls that weren't of color.

She looks incredibly young in some pictures but when you see her in person, she actually comes off much older. First of all she is incredibly tall (I'm 5'6" not tall but not short either and she towered over me), second of all she has a very self-assured, commanding presence. A man who was at least in his late 30's was hitting on her and she handled herself very well. She does look older too when her hair is out rather than pulled back. I probably wouldn't want a daughter of mine on the catwalk at 13, but I've read that her mom is pretty protective and i can't imagine denying a child an opportunity like she has. I'm with those who wish her the best.

On another note, I think the fact that she is the first black model to rep marc jacobs says more about him than it does her. It's sad that people of color are still making "firsts" in the industry despite the few superstars like Naomi, Iman, etc.

She is extremely tall - especially for her age. I sat next to her mother at one of Gerren's shows - FW/2004 and she was very pleasant.

Gerren has a good walk.

She may be sweet and all but she she look practically the same in every photo I see of her: Cute and Young and after a while it just get boring. Gerren is pretty looking but not stunning, she looks boring.
