Giambattista Valli F/W 2023.24 Paris

the video is painful to watch

Those shoes were clearly too small. She did fine in her second look.
I wish she had the moxie to kick those shoes off halfway down the runway and finish in bare feet.

Apart from Chanel suits and tulle monstrosities (aka dresses), he does not have anything else to offer.

I don't think he was inspired by Virginie, I think he was doing his version of CHANEL.

And his version is much better than hers.

This was a solid collection for me

People complain when Proenza, The Row or anyone make collections clearly “inspired by” but at least they’ve got enough taste to copy quality ideas…Only Valli could dream of copying Viard! He even redid those awful jumpsuits she does every season.

This collection is salvaged by the beautiful draping in chiffon which has always been his magical power, he should exploit that and leave the poor Chanel renditions to others.
