i know Giles does not try to be cohesive in his presentations... but what is this?!
he always has problem with proportion!
i was there and found it great! so many great seperates such as printed pants, felted wool logo tops, oversize sweater and cardigans.. etc etc!
not a great season for him....there are so many others in London who have overtaken him....Nicoll, Kane, Schwab etc.....
I like some of the tops (not that they are anything special, but they just look...normal I guess), the rest is awful, and hair & make-up are only making it worse.
This is one neurotic collection, wah, there are some looks that i adore though, the grey tube dresses are fantastic.
some of its awful, some of its great. i don't know what to think
its hard to stomach
Some of the pieces I really like but other I think are a complete disaster.
Judging this as an entire collection, it isn't really cohesive..
When it's good, it's almost awesome. The GG-logo wool bustier is fun and cheeky.
When it's bad.... You know.
CO-SIGN!!! What IS this???? This is fashion diarrhea!!!!
aside from the "Show" peices i see a lot of nice things that could sell.
much more miss than hit for me......he should be refining his message by now.....like his contemporaries in London....
It's pretty horrendous, I have to say.
my god is this horrific! just awful!
but i must admit there are some pretty amazing skirts here.
this is the first season that i'm actually really paying attention to london, and all it is delivering is crap.
Oh this collection is so much fun! When it's good it's GOOD (the brimmed hat looks) and when it's bad it's pretty BAD but overall interesting to look at. At least it's not boring!
what is this?
I'm starting to think it's not that Deacon doesn't concern himself with making a coherent collection, but that he can't make a coherent collection.
awful , I must agree with another post that says he has a serious problem with proportion - actually I take this as his signature .. he is ultra hyped and with this new wave of talented designers showing in London I guess he should be really concerned. Playing schizophrenic won't help.
