Is this version from the first production? I've never seen it before anywhere...I really wanted black but might have to settle for this chocolate brown one I should be getting pics soon!

Jun- the tag on mine that was the same as Nicole Richie's was $1220 (medium size plain black w/shiny gold hardware) which is what I paid for it. all the ones on ebay are fake unfortunately I still can't believe I returned mine, I could KICK myself now

yeah don't expect to ever pay under $1000 for an authentic nightingale. the only exception to this has been a used medium authentic ivory that sold on ebay for $750.

other authentic givenchy bags always go for a steal. a white leather riccardo with black lining just sold for $325 or something, and i've seen the clarabelle go from $160-250.

the only simple leather one right now is the thin strap in black (or brown or purple?) with gold hardware (nicole richie's) since the thick strap w/zipper was discontinued.

this one is $1280 in medium and $1660 in maxi. (such a drastic increase for a few more inches of leather )

I'm debating whether to hold out for the black OR buy the brown one...what are my odds of getting the Nicole Richie one again, are they gone forever everywhere? ^ i don't know about nicole's. if barneys is sold out nationwide i don't know if it's possible to find any more.

the brown one with 2 straps was made before hers came out. it was s/s 07 and the one nicole has is from this season. i would go with the brown

here's some pics - still go w/the brown?!? Do you get a more casual vibe w/the brown than the black? The black w/gold seems more classy or something to me....though this brown seems to be a rich color. It doesn't seem to drape as well as the newer leather though, maybe because it's pebbled and thicker?
