The lining is so confusing, I've heard different things about the lining.

Am I to assume that all the ones with beige lining that aren't from AW06 are fake? When did the black lining start? Does anyone know??

givenchy bags still have either grey or black lining. it's confusing.

I got mine in 07 and it has the beige lining, if you look through the pictures of this thread you will see that Sienna's bag has beige lining so does Reese... and those were on their arms after 06.

Now, can everyone please stop buying these bags?

...so SS07 is the year when the beige lining disappeared? As I understand, that season produced gray and black lining??

I'm pretty sure beige and grey lining are the same thing. I just call it grey because it looks more grey to me, but someone else might call it beige. to-may-to, to-mah-to. givenchy has been using this lining on their bags for as long as i can remember, even way back in the macdonald years. a lot of the bags still use it, it's just really schizo, and they have no continuity in their bags at all. I know the current fourth season original authentic crinkled crunchy thinstrap patent 'gales all have grey lining, and all of the "overnight" and "george v" and "medium zipped" bags have it too. I also remember most of the "riccardo" shopper totes having it, except the one in white leather which had a black lining with metal zipper. I also remember the "bettina" totes having it. In fact, they all most likely probably have the grey lining.

I'm pretty sure that bag is from the tisci era. that shape is definitely tisci. and it's on yoox s/s collection right now, so it should be from the spring 07 season. plus I remember the mens spring 07 collection used that exact same embossed leather.
