I got my matte black lambskin nightingale yesterday - it's exquisite! I'm so happy with it! I ended up getting the maxi size which isn't what I originally wanted, but I bought from ebay in the end so got a maxi for less than the medium in stores + no customs fees. It's HUGE! When I pulled it out of the bag I was laughing at first I thought at the size -but I was laughing with giddy excitement and hysterical joy at my satisfaction with this bag.

And now I sound like a raging nutcase. I guess that's when you know you've gone over the handbag deep end.

Anyways! I'm sorry if this post comes off incredibly self serving - I just wanted to gush about this bag to someone and no one I know cares about bags.

I got the maxi nightingale on ebay as well recently and i am o b s e s s e d with it!! I was almost going to bid on the medium sized one but i ended up really lucking out as it went for twice the price i paid for the maxi (which i got for something like 1/4 of the retail price!!!) It's like my great ebay success story, i buy on ebay a lot but that's the best "prize" ive ever won

I wear it 24.7- it's perfect for work and opens up to fit the world inside. Plus it's so timeless which is always a great bag investment.

I'm pretty intrigued by this F/W 09-10 Givenchy bag described as "Faux-animal textured medium Pandora bag."
Mostly intrigued by how it works . . and what 'faux-animal' means ?

does anyone know, how up to date is the barneys website? I have a large matte lambskin 'gale ( with the skinny strap, not the zip one ) and I love it, but I want to buy the maxi as well. however, whenever I visit the barneys site, they never seem to have it! so does anyone know, do they still stock it and just not list it on the site, or...?

A few Nightingales got marked 40% off in the Barneys sale! I already bought a gray one at full price from Aloha Rag but then I picked up the black one on sale. I still can't decide which one I love more, and I can't keep both.

I would keep the black. The silver will rub of, metallic never lasts and I like the effect of the black patent.

After returning my maxi plain black leather nightingale a few years ago I've been craving another one... I've been eyeing one at intermix every time I'm there and it popped up on the barneys sale I got one thats stitched kind of to look like croc, barneys called it bubble stitching. Cant wait!!

kentucky - I actually think the gray one is lot more unique and charming and it seems like a practical colour that will keep!

I really wanted to love the givenchy but I returned it I love the bubble stitching but the bag was kind of awkward to carry. The handles were barley big enough to fit around my forearm and the bag hangs strange when I use the shoulder strap.

Hi,

I believe I posted this picture before but I have a new question...

I walked into Barneys and the SA told me that someone had walked in looking for the same nightengale that i own (which i got in may 07). Also all the ones i see for sale are not like my leather and also my bag doesnt have the strap cover with a zip, i just have the strap with gold hardwear. Any more info on this will be appreciated.
